I can't stand that ugly girl Ashley Sullivan. She has a smokers' and a crack heads face and she's ****ng skinny and ugly. Why do they feature her on every episode and not one of the hot girls instead like the cute Colombian Zorrillo or Tia Toscano.
Well Said, beautiful women ftw. Joking aside, there's a reason that...damn I forgot her name, but the talented ugly girl didn't win for a reason and it starts with U. (not you, no pun intended)
Chris Medina should have made it! I'll be beyond pissed if that McCrary kid makes it. He only forgot the words in one round but yet there he is, still magically in it!
Casey Abrams is my favorite. Haven't watched tonight's episode but I imagine the Obama girl will get sent through, they want the POTUS to make a guest appearance for ratings, and he won't be able to resist.
Has an emotional backstory but he doesn't have the best voice....not good enough to be in the top 24. But then neither are some of the others imo.
I don't like him but needless to say: get well soon! Hopefully, this won't affect taping or production moving forward. It would be shame if he had to be eliminated due to illness.
What I found hilarious from what I saw was psycho hose beast, who got married apparently on or close to the same day as this latest round of competition/cuts, did a complete 180 from her psycho hose beastedness and was the one contestant cut who was "happy" because she just got married and was acting like she didn't even care she was cut. This after the last weeks where she was crazy balling her eyes out at the prospect of being cut...like her world was ending. Good riddance, pyscho hose beast! Good luck to the idiot that married her.
Chris Medina is better than Scottie McCreery - at least Chris never forgot the words to any of the songs he sang.
I almost always find myself disagreeing with this year's panel. They're soft when I feel they need to harsh/blunt. They're critical whenever I see something I like. I've never had this happen before. P.S. Chris Medina: great story but certainly NOT a great singer. Easy call.
I cannot believe they cut John Wayne Schulz and advanced 4I's. Jordan Dorsey, in his own words: "confident" and "aggressive" Translation: "cocky" and "obnoxious" I am rooting for Robbie Rosen. Another favorite: Tim Halperin
Funny, in my day, American Idol was called Star Search with Ed McMahon and it was the Kiss of Death for an artist. Stephen Tyler, tsk, tsk. From Toys in the Attic to this. Will wait for the day the next great American rock band emerges from the show. (and awaiting the inevitable backlash "you just don't understand....it's, it's all about the thrill of the contest...they're really talented vocalists....they do write some of their own songs....") I did try to watch a few shows. Then I got out my old tape of Saturday Night Live performances. Ah, the days. EDIT: I give people a hard time for ragging on my favorites like The Office, so perhaps I'm being a big hypocrite. But, please, tell me what makes this show so special? I mean, other than the one who sang "Since You've Been Gone," have any great artists emerged from this show? From what I've seen, many of these artists cover other people's songs- no interest whatsoever in that. Do most really write their own songs, or are most covers? I acknowledge that any show which has been #1 for as long as A.I. has must have some merit to it, I'm just not seeing it. I've watched 4 shows. I don't get the hype.
Look, you are not going to find a bigger snob, musically, than me. But there is something about this show that draws you in - maybe it's the backstories and seeing these singers going through all these rounds, I really don't know. But with the exception of last season (which I have already discussed), I have been hooked on this show since '07. Carrie Underwood, who is arguably, the hottest singer in country music (not to mention incredibly good-looking) ranks right up there with Kelly Clarkson. Plus you got Jennifer Hudson and Daughtry and they didn't even win but were on the show. Sure you have some busts like Ruben Studdard and Fantasia but all in all, a lot of the ones that have gone far have made quite an impact.
On another note, I was stunned that Colton did not make it. Brett is okay but I thought Colton was better. Not surprised about Jacee although I would have been okay with him making it. Maybe next year for him.
Do they have bands on the show? I think that would interest me more, something like a Battle of the Bands. Actually, scratch that. I guess I'm just more of a fan of non-reality TV. Unlike some, I actually find artistic merit in television programs, like The Sopranos or All in the Family. I like watching great actors with compelling storylines. Maybe one of these days, I'll give reality TV a try. The Apprentice was pretty cool. Wife Swap, not so much.
Jordan Dorsey needs a dose of humility in the worst way...and what's worse is the judges keep feeding his ego. Cause he's not the best singer of the bunch...not by far imo. Casey Abrams is awesome. Seems to be a true talent, but he might best be served by not actually winning. I would have been happy if Lambert Part II didn't make it. Such a crybaby and you know...screaming, isn't really actually singing. But whatever.
I was surprised by both the last picks. Colton and the other girl both seemed to offer more than the 15 year old girl and Brett. Maybe neither would have won, but they would have had a better chance.
yes, but Scottie is different at least. Chris isn't too unique, and his voice was just off a lot. Honestly I didn't even like him at his initial audition...i figured he just made it through cause of his story. Couldn't believe he got through the early rounds. Glad they cut it short now
