Fantasia is awesome. So glad she won. What are your thoughts?

I actually didn't particularly like either of the finalists.

I think the quality of the American Idol finalists declines each year.

Then again, I'm not a big follower of the show, so I wouldn't be the most knowledgeable person on the subject.

After LaToya lost, I stopped caring.

I think Fantasia is easily the best, and one of the better contestants they've ever had. Much better than Kelly whatever her name is.

I admit I liked Fantasia better, even though Diana is a local girl and appeared on my radio show. Guess who will be on my show sometime next week? She's really a sweetheart.

So much for the Elton John theory.

Huh? Kelly ran circles around "Pez Head" with her voice tonight...

I still think Fantasia sounds like a chipmunk on helium, but she's better than Diana. LaToya should have won.

That show is a tool. The contestants are tools. The viewers are tools. That being said....I don't think any of the contestants in #3 (especially the final two) were near as good as the entire final group in #1.

    Tools!

Fantasia has a unique style, but man, that girl sounds like a serious redneck.

    listening to 610 this morning.

American Idol votes = 65 million

    Presidential Votes in 2000 = 111 million

    Pathetic.

Why is that pathetic? Anybody can vote for "American Idol" but you have to be 18 to vote in elections. Unless you were being funny.

Plus you can vote more than once in American Idol.

If people could vote 100s of times for the Presidential Election like many little 13 yr old girls did for American Idol those numbers would be a little different.

Regardless of the fact that anyone can vote (and people can even vote more than once), the mere fact that over 65 million votes (over half of a presidential election) care about that crap is pathetic. I mean the freaking show has actually given someone like Ryan Seacrest a career. That doesn't blow your mind??
