DD
To my untrained, ignorant ears... overall they so far seem to have a stronger group of contestants than in recent years. (And that girl's brown tongue bothered me. Eating hershey kisses before going on camera isn't the best idea. Sometimes HD is a curse.)
didn't like anyone the first day. liked maybe 3 or 4 people in the atlanta show. 2 guys and 2 girls i think? i'll remember them if i see/hear them.. i do remember the one guy's name--jermaine.
american idol is my addiction. anyway, no one has completely captivated me with their vocals. Jermaine was really good. Yes, "pants on the ground" is catchy as hell and I can't stop humming it. damn you american idol. he seems like a nice guy. http://blogs.ajc.com/american-idol-...larry-platt/?cxntfid=blogs_american_idol_blog "Why did he call himself “General” when he was never in the military? “I’m a general of the civil rights movement,” he said, saying he marched with Martin Luther King Jr. and Hosea Williams back in the 1960s. (Williams apparently coined that nickname for him.) According to my colleague Eric Sturgis, we have checked out his claims in the past and there is photographic evidence of his civil rights past."
"pants on the ground" is going to make a windfall in profits. somebody snatched him up yet? when is the release date? it always bothered me when people wore pants like that. i just didn't know how to express it. now i do.
so isnt there other judges that screen those bad people out? so how do they end up before the main judges? and i dont like this whole "story behind the contestant" thing that they do a lot now..
From what i understand there are screener for the large auditions, like those held at stadiums. Those people are whittled down to the group that actually go before the actual judges. It's pretty obvious those screeners will select a person either because they might have some actual talent or are such train wrecks they'll make for good TV.
They want the bad singers because people tune in to watch them humiliate themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if AI producers went around recruiting at Karaoke bars and paid some of these people to make a fool of themselves. Some of these you just have a hard time believing- I mean, do they really think they actually had a shot?
i dont know..it just seems like the producers are trying too hard. it's just not the same show. the chemistry between the judges are not there. though i have to say the new chick is cute.
hopefully he saw yesterday and was talking about mary j blige. at least if you're choosing between her and ellen as the 2 'new' people compared to last year..
you'd really be surprised how tone deaf people can be. at the church i used to go to, i used to sing there and i know first hand that people would try out to sing and omg.....they were HORRIBLEEEE and i'd try to give them voice lessons and they actually thought they were doing good. they couldnt catch one single note! and they would still insist that they could sing even though i would tell them they weren't on the same note. its bad
no u fools..aha i was talking about Kara.. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4KN_0JIvMX4&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4KN_0JIvMX4&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
I don't usually watch this show. But I did the first night in what I believe was Boston's first day. When I got home on Tuesday, it was already on, and so the SwoLy family saw most of the show together just before dinner. I must say I almost shed a tear when I heard Bosa sing. His smooth voice and way of managing the notes reminded me of Reuben Studdard [sic]. I am hoping he goes to the last few rounds. Go, Bosa.
ruben has a beautiful voice...too bad the record label screwed him over with some horrible songs. <div><object width="512" height="322"><param name="movie" value="http://d.yimg.com/static.video.yahoo.com/yep/YV_YEP.swf?ver=2.2.46" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="AllowScriptAccess" VALUE="always" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" /><param name="flashVars" value="id=17592349&vid=6769675&lang=en-us&intl=us&thumbUrl=http%3A//l.yimg.com/a/p/i/bcst/videosearch/4134/100331932.jpeg&embed=1" /><embed src="http://d.yimg.com/static.video.yahoo.com/yep/YV_YEP.swf?ver=2.2.46" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="512" height="322" allowFullScreen="true" AllowScriptAccess="always" bgcolor="#000000" flashVars="id=17592349&vid=6769675&lang=en-us&intl=us&thumbUrl=http%3A//l.yimg.com/a/p/i/bcst/videosearch/4134/100331932.jpeg&embed=1" ></embed></object><br /><a href="http://video.yahoo.com/watch/6769675/17592349">A9 10</a> @ <a href="http://video.yahoo.com" >Yahoo!
