The save is purely stuipd. It was meant to save a person who had a great performance and didn't get the votes. Big Mike got beat fair and square and they save him. Now if say Casey had gotten voted off, then it would have been justified in my mind. At least to some degree.
I also think the save is intended to save someone who, based on their whole season, did not deserve to go yet. And whether or not you like Mike, he is indisputably better than two or three of the ones left.
he wasn't bad, though i think he was easily in the middle group. personally i thought he was towards the top of the middle of the pack on tuesday.. but i don't think anyone can say he should have gone home yesterday out of all the people there
I think we are both right and wrong at the same time. They have to be consistently good all season. Plus, clearly better than most the night he goes home. Mike has been pretty good all season, but last night he was not clearly better than the others. He was in the lower half. Last night I wouldn't consider his performance better than the two worst who was andrew and aaron.
wow, i completely disagree. I'm usually not that ecstatic bout big mike but that, for me, was without a doubt his best performance besides maybe that maxwell song he sang. his vocals were spot on. he didn't miss one note, but ok. thats why they're called opinions. I'm ok with the save. its not like they're gonna save andrew, tim or aaron who for sure are next to leave.
Mike and Tim were really good with their slow songs Katie missed a lot of her high notes, but the judges didn't say anything Andrew should definitely go. 2nd worst of the night was between Siobahn, Aaron. So I don't think Aaron necessarily deserves to go...but Siobahn definitely doesn't.

At this point, whats keeping me interested is how Lee is stepping up his game and possibly becoming part of the Top 3 who I believe will consist of Crystal and Big Mike. Then again, my picks, in the beginning for top 5 are now in shambles. andrew had the worst performance. crazy how he has such a huge youtube following but, i guess he just couldn't handle the big stage. I'm not really shocked about katie. She lacks so much stage presence and had yet to hit the high notes like the way she should have. Oh well. Lets go Lee, Mike and Crystal.
Why does everyone keep bringing up Ryan Seacrest? He really did not say anything that was too bad (the Dunkleman Joke, ragging on one of the contestants, and the tongue joke). I've heard worse on network TV.
-I actually liked Aaron's. -Crystal was good as always -Lee was solid. Didn't think he was as good as the judges said. -Mike was weird with that song. Wasn't a fan. -I thought Siobahn was pretty good--maybe better than the judges gave her credit for. Just relaly high expectations? -Casey was solid vocally, but he really hasn't improved at all since the Huey Lewis week. He still doesn't move, he still isn't a "performer" on the stage, and he still seems disinterested almost. I don't think he's gonna change at this point.. -Tim was worse than he has been the last 2 weeks, though better than crap. Too bad there aren't any crappy singers left to be below him. Tim or Casey should go...I'll call Tim this time, finally
can we just hurry up and get to the crystal/lee finale? Big Mike's choice of song was just awkward. He needed more unf to pull it off and it wasn't believable. Aaron has a really good voice and with the right vocal training, he can be a good contemporary country artist. He can be the Justin Bieber of country music LOL He's just not really made for this competition. Casey was blah. The music was good and its not as if his vocals were disastrous...it was just boring. no emotion and with the same goofy grin. when he did jealous guy, that was his shining moment. Thats a shame. Lee. I am having fun watching this guy get better and more confident on the stage. He's improved so much and he is proving himself worthy of the top 2 spot. Crystal, was good as always. i'm never bored with her and i love that she does something different without getting away from who she is. I thought last night was Tim's best choice of song. thats where he belongs and i think he did a good job. Siobhan, Siobhan, Siobhan. I'm tired of her already. She shouldn't be allowed to speak. It angers me for her to think she can sing that song and not be compared to TWO of the best singers I've ever heard. She doesn't even know what genre to sing. She needs to be rock...kinda like the Evanescence chick bottom 3 - Casey, Tim, Siobhan. Going home: Casey.

that was the most torturous idol show yet. i want my 2.5 hours of life back please LOL anyway, tim is FINALLY GONE!!! casey, aaron and big mike will be next....hopefully.
