Just b/c you are a certain race growing up in another race's environment doesnt take away the fact that you are another race. That's American Culture. I rather you notice that this poll shows how their is a significant racial divide that could ultimately affect this race. Do you see that amongst whites just as YOU see within blacks?
This is the 2nd time I've asked chickentex for a reply. You guys are big experts on subjects you have no clue on. The only reason you temporarily give a flip about black America is because Obama is on the ballot. You guys define irony. Over 90% of black Americans support Obama yet you guys say he isn't authentically black. Can you conceive just how stupid you sound? Try this for once in your life: Talk to 10-15 black Americans and ask them if Obama is one of them. Then you can stand corrected beyond any shadow of doubt.
Whites don't vote in a monolithic block like AA's do. Over 90% of AA's will vote Democrat. Over 90% of AA's voted for Obama over Hillary within the Democratic primary contest. So no, I do not see as significant racial polarization amongst non-blacks. Neither does the data.
its always funny to see trader talk about how blacks vote dem when he's probably voted for neither a black/dem in his life. pot meet kettle
Ok. Sir. Whats the percentage of white presidential nominees that have been on the ballot since Roosevelt? You'd probably find it to be 90%. In which I bet a 100% of Voting AA's Voted for a white person. Hater Jorge for president, We couldn't do any worse could we?
When Sharpton was a candidate in 2004 did he receive 90% plus of the AA vote? No he didn't. You'll have to try something else TJ.
exactly, I've only made that point like fifty times, but he continues to ignore it. he's not gonna address it as usaual
That's simply not a relevant comparison since Sharpton wasn't a serious candidate. He didn't have the Democratic party leadership's support, nor did he have the media's support.
sooo funny, just 12 months ago obama wasn't black enough, so black people are voting for the not black enough, secret gay muslim getting serviced in the limo by the white dude but the much more well know commodity over the past 20 years wasn't a more serious candidate. you need to get your story straight
Well which is it? Is it about skin color or support from the Dem leadership and media? You apparently aren't so sure yourself.
Jorge has successfully moved the discussion to why blacks are voting for Obama, rather then why non-blacks might not. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
Actually, the hilarious irony of this all is that blacks ARE voting for him, despite him not having roots in the black community or expending efforts campaigning for their votes. Nice trickeration! Again, this is the reason why he went from being an atheist for most of his life to buying into the black liberation theology doctrine at Trinity. He had to increase his street cred, lest he be perceived as a Carlton Banks-esque country clubber.
Like I mentioned to bigtexxx, you have no idea why he joined the church. You also have yet to show that joining the church somehow increased his cred.
or by people like you as an uppity negro, normally you'd be arguing something about blacks/single parent homes/ welfare, but now obama isn't anything like you normally stereoptype blacks seriously, I don't see what your problem is, despite your proclomation in another thread that that the clinton's have done so much for blacks was ridiculous, that you've never backed upped, so if hillary and obama's policies are similar, what's your problem if blacks vote for obama other than to race bait as usual stop playing the race card
and yes obama wasn't a serious candidate, till WHITE PEOPLE in IOWA stood up for him stop playing the race card
Or at least until Edwards/Clinton fighting over voters left him with a plurality, and he gamed the caucus system in neighboring Iowa (neighboring to IL) and gamed the white guilt associated with public declarations of a Democrat's vote... had the media released the Edwards scandal earlier, Clinton rolls to victory in Iowa.
a black man gaming the system, you don't even try to hide your prejudice, keep making excuses, a black man will be your president, deal with it.
I think the race issue will play both ways. There are those who will vote against Obama because he is black, and there are those who will vote for him because he is black. Do you agree?
pgabs -- nice try at putting words into my mouth and trying to twist things around... how is what I posted prejudiced in any way? It's not. I guess one can't even criticize The Messiah without being racist. Good grief.
alleging a black man cheated, to win the same freakin process that has gone over for over a hundred years, the same freakin process that the republicans use, but now that a black man won the caucus its gaming the system?
