Yes imagine for teams Amen's upside is too alluring to pass on him. I play safe when i look at him i see more bust than i see a cornerstone but that doesn't matter he's gonna get picked before he falls to us.
I'm on the Amen train but it's kinda concerning that OTE has them playing basketball for 8 hours a day instead of school and he still didn't develop a jumpshot by 20 years old. That's a lot of basketball daily. I'm sure they had a shooting coach of some sort working with him down there too.
All of this is why I don't put much stock into what is being chosen to be released as rumors during lying season.

From a basketball standpoint, yes, but I've thought all along Miller might fall due to the character concerns. I think if he's available at 4 though, the Rockets would take him.

Nope, don't believe it. I understand that Portland wants to keep Dame, they are committed to mediocrity and just making the playoffs is 100% dandy for the ownership there so I get that... But out of ALL the players you can draft you will pick the most project of projects in Amen? Amen might be terrible for a year or two or very limited in what he can do while someone like Miller can slot in there and drop 15ppg on good shooting day one on that team. The logic doesn't make sense, it only makes sense if they know the Rockets want Amen and are trying to get them to commit to trading up. I think Miller and Scoot go in that order. It's lying season and both teams know the Rockets want a PG.
Does he really have character concerns though? It seems like he got caught up in something very serious, yes, but did he do anything other than show up to help a friend out? It's a tough question to answer, and I don't know how I feel about it, to be honest. But I'm not sure if it equates to "character concerns". Not saying he shouldn't fall because of what happened, but I'm asking an honest question. And I'm wondering if there are other issues I've missed? I would without a doubt draft Miller in this situation, FWIW.
I'm indifferent, If we get Miller over Amen, IMO that's an upgrade because Miller can shoot and he played at a higher level, but I don't see Miller as a star, this was a one player draft.
You haven't seen his latest interviews? He's saying some dumbass ****. We're not even mentioning his no look pass gun to his friend
