Amen should be the starting point and Fred should be the backup if he stays.

Shocking development: Black person with long hair decides to braid it sometimes.

Changing hairdo is a sure way to lose your mojo. :(

I don't agree that's the only thing stopping him but I applaud your enthusiasm. He's a great player.

Amen is a (great) forward. He is not a PG.

I don’t care if people call amen a pg. call him a point center if you want. He is a superstar in the making. His stats as a starter in a year and a half of pro ball are historic. He is already a top five defensive player in the league and is averaging 18 points and over ten rebounds and five assists and among the league leader in stocks as a starter. He should’ve been starting all year. I said it before the season started and now the league “experts” and Ime are figuring it out.

I don't disagree about Amen's potential. He might already be our second best player at this point, and if he puts it together, he could eventually become the best player.

I hope they end up being the two best players in the league. Love them both. Peace brother. Throw Jalen in there too! Love to Reed too, although I think we should trade him asap. You realize you and BTG are on the same wavelength with him, lol.

Not quite, I always said Reed will need time. I still do think he will be valuable for us.

He isn't HIM right now. He is growing. He is still has to develop his shooting and offensive prowess. He isn't a star. Not even close. NOT YET.

As to Amen, I think Alpi and Amen benefit from each other.

Alpi is more talented as the offensive hub, he is the better and more creative passer and has better court vision and he has more reliable go-to moves, but he benefits from having Amen as a cutting target and as someone who cleans up his misses.

Amen clearly has incredible physical gifts and is a smart player, and one of the best perimeter defenders in the league.

I think their games very much complement each other. They make each other better.

I think we just got a taste of how he should expect to be defended in the playoffs. They're going to sag REALLY far and see how willing he is to take a 3pter. This will get more intense as the season goes on. That kind of ticky tacky stuff like hack a shaq and sagging defense doesn't usually happen all season, that's why the Ben Simmons' of the world looked good in the first 2/3rds of the season.

I'm sure Amen will respond with a big game. Part of the learning process.

Amen can really benefit from Sengun's gravity - and Sengun can benefit from having Amen cut and be active, and generate second chances.

    You beg to differ?

If so, you don't haven't been watching basketball for very long.

I said Iggy 2.0 is his ceiling.... specifically I said a Iggy/Marion hybrid as his best case scenario.
Absolutely everything I've seen has only made me feel more emboldened with that take.
ELITE rebounder and great at getting 2nd chance pts from the weak side.
ELITE defender with uber athleticism and a quality connector with good vision.
Awesome finisher in transition as well cutting off ball.
Iggy is a better playmaker and passer especially in the half court, but I think he has potential to be as good there.
He is a worse shooter than Iggy, but I'm hopeful he can become serviceable.
Handle too mediocre to be a primary ball handler or consistently initiate in the halfcourt.

The area that I see no indication that he'll be able reach due to some glaring limitations is quality offensive self creation as a #1 option or as a focal point of opposing defenses.
