Amen Thompson is the Rockets' REAL franchise player

Now this is just mean.

 

I guess I was projecting my joy onto everyone else even as a prospect there were so many positives about him

His minutes will go down when Jabari returns. The good news is he wasn't logging 40 minutes a night earlier in the season when the team was healthy.

 

I mean, we'll see. He's clearly Ime's favorite player at the moment. I think he'll play a ton of minutes even when Bari returns.

 

I know many people have brought this up, but I’ll say it again, if this dude works on his jumper in the offseason, he’ll be an MVP candidate in a couple of years. His potential is unreal. What delight to have him on our roster.

Westbrook won - without a good 3 point shot nor great defense.

Amen is elite ate so many things. He might be the superstar the league needs

Yea I mean at this point basically everyone would pick him first over any of our guys. Man that’s a good feeling because we still have a stacked team hah.

 

He has a jumper, the middy, it might not be on CP3/SGA level but it is right now close to above average.

Amen is prime Ben Simmons without the b****ass mindset.

 

Nah he’ll be better. He’s a better athlete and a better scorer and a better defender. Simmons had a better handle hopefully Amen will keep improving it.

 

That winning shot shows me that he can have that stop and pop middie all day any time he wants. Defenders are so worried about his speed to the basket, they are going to chasing him down full speed. He can just stop on a dime and pop that 10-footer. I am beginning to believe that he doesn't really need a 3pt shot. (Of course, if he can shoot from 3, that will make me even more lethal.)

 

He hit another three tonight. God dang, you GOTS to love it!

 

The energy level of Thompson is just unbelievable. I can't remember one game where he wasn't laser-focused and going 100% at both ends of the court.

Couple that with his incredible athleticism and decision-making, and he's just playing at another level right now.
