Very cheesy episode at times but I still liked it. The firework was ridiculous. I laughed so hard at that and the guy crawling for like 5 minutes before he got eaten.
The best scene was the way Daryl ran to Carol after he saw her. His run said it all (as in no hook-up with him and Carol...cause he's gay...not that there's anything wrong with that). The scene with the head batting and throat cutting...just the way it played out...seemed pretty dumb, i.e. they had the no-names in order followed by the regulars. And, the guy with the bat is standing right there by the first regular and then takes the walk to the other end. Granted, it may have been planned so the leader could ask where the duffel bag is or what was in it to the regulars? But, who cares about the duffel bag when those folks are going to die and they would find it anyway? It's obvious it had to be guns. I thought they could have done that whole scene a lot better...as it didn't seem believable at all and felt lame.
"Don't make me do this." "Dude, I just saw these other guys hit 4 guys in the head with a baseball bat and slit their throats. You think you can get info by threatening my friend when I know you're going to kill us anyway?"
Someone needs to do a slow-motion capture of the Daryl-to-Carol run to the music of "10" used in the infamous Bo Derek beach run scene.
I was shocked they went that far but it really set the tone for a solid opener. Let's see how long the momentum lasts.
If you rematch the scene you can see the guy make serious eye contact with Rick, as if to say…"how the F did we get HERE??" And they did make mention of it in Talking Dead. A very strong opener.
No, Momma Terminus, before Carol fed her to the walkers, said that Terminus was a true place of peace until people took advantage. In the train car Gareth(sp?) said something to the effect of them being the butchers and not the cattle. I'm guessing that's when it turned. this is what I'm afraid of. four seasons of TWD has proven for every good episode, you get four poor ones. the first time since season one I'm excited for the next episode.
