i really need to read this series regardless. i wish i could find a decent deal on the books. i also have 5 books sitting next to my bed that im reading already. anyone on clutchfans taken the time to read this series??
I didn't read any spoilers. I told my hubby that Noah was going to die in this episode since the show has a history of offing black characters. Boy, I was right. lol I was surprised that Glen didn't kill that dude right there.
Wouldn't that make Glenn the only food for the walkers? It was a subtle act of self-preservation, IMO.
they would still eat Noah. It just means he can't turn. I just think that in this episode they conveniently forgot to off people so they can't turn, in order to show us the two most gruesome deaths ever.
I laughed, turned to girl and said "that dude is screwed" the minute the old guy said "sounds like you're in it for the long haul".
In Noah's case, Glenn didn't have any bullets. But Aiden, yeah they could have mercy killed him. What I was thinking though was all this time they've spent in this world and they still haven't: A) Developed nonverbal commnication to use during zombie intense situations. B) Made CQC weapons as their primary and firearms as a last resort to save bullets and reduce noise level. (They started trending this way but this episode the warehouse group wasn't prepared) C) Clear a building every time. They could have taken those zombies out in the cage easily like they did at the prison and they wouldn't have posed a problem. Noah's time came too early. He had more to give. In fact I would rather him, Tyrese and Bob all still be here than some of these other characters.
Don't mean to belabor the point, except to repeat my first post in this tangent. I pointed out that Glenn always has a knife, too. You can see that huge knife on his belt in the fatal scene. Maybe they dragged him out too quickly for Glenn to mercy kill him.
As soon as the Knife Party song said "and now you're going to die!" I knew either Glenn or Noah would be gone.
Spoiler Carl has a big hole where is right eye is supposed to be in the Comic (still a chance this happens on the TV show). Rick has one arm (won't happen on the TV show). But yes...Carl is a bad ass in the comic. They are slowly moving him that way on the TV show.
Heck . . . I'm with Michonne. . . they need more Swords!! A butcher knife attached to the end of a stick would work Axes/Hatchets . . .. Even a regular Bow and fricking arrow Rocket River
You need guns so they don't get close enough to you before you have to use blade weapons. If a bunch of walkers were coming at me, and I were trapped, I'd pick off as much of them as I can with my gun first, then pull out a machete. Bow and arrows are harder to use and slow to reload.
I binged the first 100 chapters. Haven't read anything in about a year or two. Really good stuff tho and darker then the tv series.
I lost interest in the show once I got in to Breaking Bad. Then again BB ruined almost every show for me.
In an open environment where you have the room and time yes. But it seems a lot of the time they're in a close quarters situation where swords and other blunt objects would work better. The warehouse scene is a perfect example of that. They could have qiuetly taken out the ones behind the fence then gone after the free walkers. Aiden blows the grenade no more walkers left to worry over. You have guns but they're used sparingly.
Did the same, think it kind of ruined the show for me. Graphic Novels are just pitch black in terms of bleakness.
