haha, yeah that's it. LL. Bean Catalogue dude is "their friend" because he wants to help them get new clothes to at least look good in the apocalypse...Then after they all go to the mall, he leaves saying "My job is done here" and walks off into the sunset looking for more people to help dress better in the apocalypse.
Well, there was definitely a tornado. You could hear it as they held back the door. As for why they converged on the barn to begin with, all I can think of is the chain on the barn door was making a lot of noise as the wind was slamming the door back n forth. That noise would attract them, but could they hear it through the howling wind.
I don't know why people are saying the past couple episodes sucked. They had some zombie action, killed off a main character, and introduced an unknown which will probably lead to the next "area" they're headed to.
80% of screen time has been dedicated to various characters moping/crying. It has been unbearably boring.
I agree with you, it's been dreadful so far. But, honestly, can you blame them? They just lost Beth who was with the group since the barn, soon after losing Herschel who was killed by decapitation. In between that the two sisters died while under the eye of Carol and Tyreese. They lose Bob while exterminating the Termites and now have to deal with the death of Tyreese... overall they have been through a lot. I would definitely be near my breaking point after all that fighting between the prison, Terminus, and now. But again, I do agree with you, these episodes have had their dull moments to say the least.
I get that the group is at their breaking point, but they've essentially been at their breaking point since they left the prison. It's getting a bit dull. I 'm definitely a defender of the series but even I thought this episode went nowhere very, very slow. I get that they are tired, losing hope, losing their will to keep on fighting, but they could have juxtaposed that with a bigger and better conflict than a horde of zombies at the very end.
wind is strong enough to knock down trees, but not enough to blow over some zombies or a barn... walking dead logic
If it actually was meant to be a tornado, tornados often leave entire structures intact and looking virtually untouched next to total devastation. If it's bad logic, it's bad logic. Or, maybe the writers just don't want to spell out every single scene in maddening detail. In the end, it's a fantasy horror world which exists to tell a story. Unrealistic situations and plot points are very likely to be part of it always. I think most people are actually okay with this, thus the high ratings. I think people who can't get past it would be better served finding something else to watch.
This is correct. It was a dream. Although everyone sleeping through a tornado is kind of tough to swallow.
My fence was lifted out of the ground and taken away by a tornado. Some pieces were on the roofs 6-7 houses down the street. Our playset was crushed, our BBQ grill was literally twisted and found in the neighbors yard, but our house, 30ft away was untouched. There are neighborhoods that have been demolished except 1 house left standing. It does happen - often at that. I'm glad I'm not the only one who realized the horde was a dream. Thanks for confirming. Tornados only last a few minutes at the most - likely they went to sleep after the tornado.
Last few seasons they've been trying to stretch out the material between too many episodes. Long musical scores showing characters in deep contemplation or crying for 5 minutes is just lazy writing. Happens a few times per episode now.
Not a town....exactly..........However, VERY important to the future. Spoiler And is the "homebase" they have been looking. This will the place or I should say one of the places the group builds for the future. There is a huge threat outside in the area, though.....and there will be blood.
The last 15 minutes could've worked as a series finale. By the way, the Spoiler flare gun to the skull was pretty cool.
I hope the producers don't linger too long on establishing the group and Rick to Alexandria. If we have to go through another Woodbury scenario where the entirety of the next 5 episodes or so are a struggle between staying and going I'm going to freak. Regardless, this could get pretty interesting very quickly. My excitement for the show has been renewed within one episode.
