Always wondered how the German connection worked. Germans immigrated to South America, it is possible Gus is German, Fring is a German name. Gale seemed like he would have a German conneciton being a chemist and all.

Very good episode, but I need somebody to refresh my memory: is the first time we are seeing the woman Mike dealt with? It seems like she is the supplier of important base chemicals, but I can't recall if we've seen her before. If not, perhaps she's where Gus got industrial-grade chemicals?

She appears to be a rogue executive at Madrigal (along with Herr Schuler). I got the sense the rest of the company was not in on it. She seemed to be out on her own giving orders.

Ah, cool. That would make a lot of sense - Gus probably needed stateside access to Madrigal instead of dealing only with Herr Schuler in Germany.

The final scene last night was one of the most uncomfortable I've seen on television.

I liked the little 'under my nose all along' comment from Hank's boss.

I've always thought there might be a Nazi connection. Nazis fled to South America. The Madrigal chief said that his grandfather started the company. Old German guy's grandfather = it would be a stretch to say that he wasn't in the German WWII effort.

Walt continues his plunge into his god-complex.

Mike was approached about joining Walt and Jesse to use his connections for distro, and joined the group, as I predicted. :)

Skylar is somehow even more annoying with her moping. I hope she catches a bullet this season, but I think she may end up turning against Walt 'for the family'.

Will Jesse ever share a scene with Walter Junior?

Skylar needs to take a bullet in the head soon. I couldnt stand her from season 1 and it's already season 5 lol. And skylars sister is just as annoying.
Anyone feel like when breaking bad is over that the only who comes out of this well is Walt jr and maybe Jesse.

This. I felt so uncomfortable watching that.

And this. That look that Hank gave. Great episode.

I'm almost certain Walt is gonna end up killing Skyler. Both episodes have ended with him "embracing" her while she looks terrified.

Why make such a big note of that unless she finally cracks and decides to rat him out and he takes things into his own hands.

After 2 episodes, this season feels extremely dark. It's only going to get worse. Walt feels really untrustworthy, and his scenes with Skylar are just plain awkward. That shot where Skylar is laying on the bed, Walt comes in to get her out of be but you never even see his face. He's cut off at the arms, and we can only see Skylars back. Loved it! I'm hoping Jesse gets more involved, he's going to find out what Walt has done behind his back... And when he does, it's going to be awesome.

My opinion? She's going to ruin the whole damn operation and Walt will have to consider killing her. She needs to die.

They have reduced her role to one 3 minute scene with no dialog (the last scene). Hopefully this continues.

So is this the end of the tainted cigarette saga? I guess Saul Goodman knows and could spill the beans to Jesse.

Heul and Sal are the only other people who know about the situation. Saul might start being a liability because he seems scared as hell and wants them to just stop cooking.

Saul is one of the most important characters on the show, I don't think anything will happen to him.

Yeah he is for sure, but with only this season and next Walt could always go on a pure rampage.
