Weak sauce revelation. Weak sauce episode. They over-reached in this episode several times. 10 people killed in three different cells within 2 minutes without any repercussions. Overnight smooth sailing business in Czech. Previous episode was much more powerful.
Trying to remember... how did they explain off Walt no longer teaching? What's he supposed to be doing all day now? Agreed on that being a pretty lame way for Hank to find out, though his putting it together immediately from the initials I find pretty hard to believe. Gail pretty far in the past at this point. Would be another thing if had been Gus's intials.
The car wash is the front. Pretty dumb mistake by Walt, but I guess little things can fall through the cracks. Also foreshadowing with the fly, Walt spacing out and the MRI... Brain cancer?
What was up with the first episode of this season? Looked like Walt was on the run and bought that huge machine gun. I'm assuming that has something to do with the next season, unless I'm missing something.
The reason Walt left it is probably because he didn't notice the inscription from Gail. Remember, the pages were sticking together, and it wouldn't necessarily cause suspicion just b/c it was Leaves of Grass. So, it's possible Walt didn't see the inscription due to the pages sticking together.
The first scene of Season 5, Episode 1 will be in the show finale at the end of next summer. "Live Free or Die." Walt's cancer will have come back, he is running from someone, and he is either going to win in a shootout or die. Things I would bet my life on are: (1) Walt White definitely makes it to the last episode, and Jesse does as well; (2) Jesse has a hand in Walt's death; (3) Walt dies. Watch me be wrong on all 3.
Due to costs, they had to split the season up over two summers. When they release the DVD next year, probably b4 christmas, there will only be a Season 5, no season 5 and 6. That's how they're doing it.
When they showed Walt getting the CAT scan at the end I thought he was for sure going to have is cancer come back. Then I thought he was going to shoot Jesse when he went and visited him. Very disappointed in how they let Hank find out.
Well that was a pretty unexpected way to have Hank find out. It's a shame they aren't leaving us off with that scene from the first episode of the season. Would have been cool to have them give us 8 more episodes following Walt and his new machine gun.
Is it THAT easy to get out? I seriously doubt Todd can achieve 99.1% purity all on his own. Aren't there going to be some pissed off drug dealers???
i don't think it's unrealistic for it to end as it did. this is how criminals who take on such massive projects get caught, too many things to keep track of and the tiniest thing can come back to haunt you. i thought it was a poetic and creative way to reveal it. as for easily getting out of the drug game, it was a bit rushed i agree. i think that it's plausible that there are multiple people who would be willing to take over walt's position and all he would have to do is teach them his methods. that being said soooo much time passed in this episode, felt odd compared to others. still liked it though, just different.
