The writers were trolling you dude. They wanted to see how much you'd still like a character despite how bad they broke. It's one of those details in the show that forces you to think.

    I'm still Walt's #1 fan though.

Did you know the most favorite character in Paradise Lost is generally Lucifer?

Gilligan said he didn't intend on making the fans keep liking walt and was surprised by it...

However, that is in no way negative. Vince had the power to make you love, then hate, then love again a character. A character being hated isn't a problem in a show as long as it isn't done senselessly

Why is it so hard to understand the point im trying to make?

All im saying is that bb is a master piece. I wanted to believe everything vince did was purposely done. That's all.

I thought that Walt's greed was the center of his universe, but that one episode where he tried to free Hank by offering all the money really showed there was good inside him. He did some ****ty things but usually for some justifiable good.

The darkest point in the show was when todd shot the kid. I don't know how Walt would have handled it, the writers keep us guessing, but if he had ordered that kid to be killed he would have lost me there.

Others may bring up the poisoning of Brock, and malicious while it is, it wasn't going to kill him. He had given him just the right dose so he would be sick enough to convince Jesse. Had something happened to Brock there, I would have lost all support for him.

He just kept teetering on the edge to the point where you just wanted him to succeed and his family to live a good life off of the money he brought in.

Exactly, Vince did know where to draw the line. From the be bringing qalt is/was a good guy who under circumstances had to transform.

It is the greatest show of all time. Has to create some controversy and keep us talking this long after it has ended

I forgot about that. It's sometimes hard for everyone to stop liking a character they built up for a couple of seasons. I think that whole fugue state ruse would've been the turning point if BB was a movie, but it was pretty darn interesting how it unfolded and resolved.

I mean the ending was resolved with Walt being himself. Building up a brilliant device someone with a book could accomplish and using his mind to handle a hardcore situation.

Dunno if you've seen this Gilligan interview with that mythbusters guy. They go into the evolution of the series and how some of the better parts of the show just organically happened.

This was a problem for me, they made it seem like Walt knew how much ricin to give Brock just to make him sick, (so people would kind of jump back on his side at the end of the series) which is bogus. In season 1 when he makes the ricin the first time and is explaining what it is to Jessie he says barely any will kill you.

Walt was a bad guy, but they did a good job of making him relatable, i mean if you're a narcisist...

It wasn't ricin. It was Lily of the Valley, which exhibited similar symptoms to ricin poisoning.
