No one gives credit to Skylar for playing along during the phone call. The part where she says she's sorry is where she gets it.

Walt thinks Jessie's dead. Probably more for revenge over Hank and the 70 million.

Yeah, I tuned back in to the re-airing for that scene and you can see the moment when she catches on to Walt's charade. Very well done.

I don't think it would as bad you've been making it out to be.

In S05E08 they just kind of glossed over several months and 80 million dollars with a montage. That wasn't a horrible plot device, IMO.

Marie looks in the trash and says, "Hank, why are there brains in the trash?"

    Ironic now, eh?

Speechless is all ive got to say after that. Some of the best writing and acting you'll see.
The attention to detail and darkness is outstanding.
As was said marie and flynn issues were a huge buzzkill but they obviously had to happen. Im seriously sad that its coming to an end :(

I think Walt made that phone call mainly to put the family into witness protection. That's why the house is abandoned in the future.

Re-watched the episode. It's truly a masterpiece. It's more obvious in the re-watch that Walt said those things to exonerate Skyler. It was so brutal to watch.

I think Walt going back to "save" Jesse is out of the question. If he does do that, it's going to be to use him for another purpose. Walt's hatred of Jesse is complete, as evidenced by the Jane reveal. I think he blames him for Hank's death.

Lol now that it is clear that walt made the call conversation purposely.... I still very much enjoyed him calling skylar a ***** because she definitely deserved it even if he didn't mean it.

Walt's phone call was to clearly protect Skyler's involvement from the cops/Walt Jr.

The flash forward is his 52nd birthday. He had his 51st birthday in the 4th episode of this 5th season (titled "Fifty One"). Between then and right now, Walt and Co. hook up with Lydia, rob the train, Jesse quits. Walt and Todd cook alone for a few months (during the Crystal Blue Persuasion montage in episode 8) until he had 88 mil then he quits. Hank does investigation putting everything together. So it's possible we're up to 6 to 8 months from 51st birthday from right now and definitely not a full year.

in the flash forward Walt looks like he as aged way more than 6 months. Growing hair after chemo takes a long time usually. Not saying you are wrong, maybe the show made some small minor mistakes.

Crazy... This show had me on such an emotional high that I completely missed the purpose of the phone call. The hate that was boiling against Walt blinded me from the fact that he still loves his family, and he found a way to protect them among all the chaos. Which makes me like Walt again. Well just a little bit. Damn it... this show is too good.

This. When Walt told Jack Jesse is hiding under the car, I knew that was the end. The Jane reveal is just the nail in the coffin between them.

I'm sure Jesse find a way to get out from Todd. The question is will Jesse & Walt be THE final show down for the series, I suspect it is. The ricin might be for Jesse. I think it is fitting that both Jesse & Walt dies at the end.

I don't think Walt deserves to live, but I will be disappointed if Jesse kills him. I wish Walt would die during final gun fight with the nazis.

The "say goodbye to everyone" song makes me wonder if everyone dies. That would be really dark.

I hope at the very end they (Skylar, Marie, Jr) realizes that Walt didn't kill Hank.
