Lets say Walt disappears without telling Skylar for her own safety and the kids as well. She probably thinks Hank got to him and thus puts out his "confession" out there which then puts Hank in jail which probably put Marie under investigation as well once her shrink gives her up after Walt's disappearance goes public.
That's my thinking as well. She's been imploring Hank to go to the DEA, and the only reason she hasn't is Hank's career. With Hank gone, there's nothing left to hold her back.
I thought the same thing. Remember when Walt got pulled over for a broken windshield? So he gets pulled over for a broken windshield in the middle of no where but he can go barreling down a fairly busy street running red lights without being pulled over?

update on my theory 1. Gomie gets killed, but Hank, Walt and Jesse escape via Jessie/Hank taking Walt hostage...Uncle Jake backs down, because he doesn't want to lose his cook....and legitimately believes Jesse would off Walt before going down. 2, Hank now lost his partner, and is more concerned about the new bad guys. He knows the only way to get Lydia's gang is through Walt. 3. something happpens...don't know...don't know...something else happens...don't know...don't know 4. But then, Lydia kidnaps Walt Jr and Skylar to get him to return to cook. And so the final show down. The Ricin is for Lydia's tea as Walt returns for a final cook, and Hank let's him, because he needs Walt to nail the killers of Gomie. 5. Hank (the DEA) cut a deal with Walt to somehow keep him out of jail and provide for Skylar/Jr. Happy ending. Half of the fans are pissed that all the major characters survived, the other half don't care because the show rocked.
Spoiler large image: Spoiler Looks to be a good 40+ yards away. Hank is pretty much already behind the SUV and Gomez just has to move a little. Shootout doesn't seem that unrealistic.
I don't see how the Nazis wreck Declan's crew so quickly with pinpoint accuracy and then last night go full-stormtrooper mode.
Got some good foreshadowing with Todd and his Uncle/Partner going full creeper for Lydia. The lipstick scene was wack.
...because they had time to plan and execute that hit. Last night was the opposite. Walt told them "He's got at least 3 guys with him, come quick!". They were rolling out to save their golden goose.
He definitely buried the money where they cooked for the first time. There were several visual cues between the pilot episode, the episode that he buried the money, and last night's. The directors used similar shots of the mountains and plants between all three to show that it is the same location. I saw screenshots on Reddit that I can't find again, but I'll post them when I do.
