that was interesting Spoiler i was a bit confusedwhen i saw that...at first i thought that those guys were actually working for the pollos guy, but after thinking about it more, it seemed like it was a warning not to mess with walt because he is under pollos protection. The latter seems to be the case, imo.
Yeah took me a sec to get that as well. Best show on TV, now that Venture Bros. is on midseason break, IMO.
finally saw this episode last night. wanted to comment on the boots the hitmen wear. I've been watching Southland on TNT. A storyline that ended this past Tuesday featured some hitmen for Mexican drug dealers. anyway they were a pair, not twins, but worked in tandem, and they wore those boots that the guys on Breaking Bad are wearing, with skulls on the tips. just thought the similarities were weird
Another great episode. Spoiler It looks like Skylar finally found a way to get to Walt. The storyline with Tuco's cousins is really getting interesting. I'm curious to see how Gustavo keeps Walt alive as this season goes along. I'm really loving this show.
I agree, great episode Hank was pretty bas ass beating those guys in the bar down and b**** move by Skylar
The storyline of Tuco's cousin's isn't all that to me. The twin hit men is too unrealistic for this show. too hollywood.
intense! Spoiler so the private investigator guy was setting up the hidden mic in walts house for the chicken manager? i initially though he was doing it for saul, but after last night i think its for the chicken manager. that is who he called when he saw the twins going into walts house. and then at the beginning of last night he says on the phone "i assume saul goodman doesnt need to know about this". so chicken manager puts the mics in walts house to make sure he knows he can trust him? i think chicken manager is going to protect walt and we might see some peoples getting killed if they go after him. as for skyler, that was one hell of an ending - she realized that she cant keep walt out and she cant go to the cops so she made the decision to 'break bad' too. walt manufactures meth and she screws other dudes.
I think the bug was placed there to keep an ear on Skylar b/c Walts lawyer said something about "the wife having loose lips".
I'm not sure there's anything too unrealistic for this show. This is a show that has planes falling out of the sky and severed heads on turtles. And Tuco himself was a bit of a characiture, so it doesn't throw me off.
i think so too - wasnt saul the one who introduced them? but the impression i got was that the private investigator guy was working on behalf of chicken guy when he went to walts? he obviously knows saul too, b/c saul called him over to 'clean up' the scene when the girl od'ed. thats right - i forgot about that scene. so where im still confused is who exactly did the investigator call when he saw the twins walking into walts house at the end of ep 2? i thought it was saul, but at the beginning of last night he asked the person on the phone "i assume saul goodman doesnt need to know about this".
According to Saul's original description, the relationship probably goes like this: Saul knows a guy (cleaner) who knows a guy (Gus' right hand man) who knows a guy (Gus). The Cleaner works for/with both of those guys basically. So he was bugging the house based on Saul's orders ("We might have a wife problem") but when he sees two cartel heavies walk into Walt's place with an axe, he tipped off Gus since he might be able to do something about it.
that clears it up - at the end of ep. 2 the cleaner makes the call and they show the hispanic guy going and whispering in the ear of chicken guy. i have a feeling chicken guy is going to end up being pretty ruthless if those guys mess w/ walt. every episode ratchets up the intensity - i find myself trying to think what they can possibly do next - if they really want to push the uncomfortable factor im thinking walt jr. gets busted using walts product at some point.
