    What is Prime Day?
You must have Amazon Prime to take advantage of the deal.
If you have a .edu address you can sign up for Amazon prime for 6-months free and 50% off after the free period ends.

    Non Referral Address: https://www.amazon.com/gp/student/signup/info
My Referral Address (I get money):
Just a heads up to CFers. If you were eyeing for something to go on sale, this is probably the day to buy.

Amazon should have some good prices with this Black Friday but I'm partial to shopping at Sears since they have drive through pickup of online orders.

Lol. Didn't realize Sears was that desperate.

Interesting, but I'm in training from 12-4pm that day and will be busy all that evening. So hopefully the good sales start early.

I'm saving for a new MacBook Pro, if the 2015 entry level 15.4" manages to discount down to around $1600 (which is $200 below Amazon's normal price), I think I may jump in and grab it. I believe I read that B&H has historically sold it for around that price on Black Friday.

I'm half way there savings wise, so I'll have to put the rest on a credit card. Unless anyone here wants to make a contribution to my SmartyPig.com savings account. Any takers?

I prefer Walmart because I can shop riding in a scooter.

    not a true 1%er.

I buy stuff because I feel like it. Never gonna use it? Not my concern!

A true 1%er doesn't shop at a peasant marketplace like Amazon.

I suppose the Sears drive-thru option is nice if you are lazy or handicapped in some way. Is it faster than if I went in and picked it up like usual? It's not like I'm driving through for a burger. How long do I have to sit there? ;)

Still haven't gotten to the point where I can buy a TV online. Something about buying it at the store and loading it into the bed of my truck all while looking over my shoulder to see if anyone is watching and waiting to follow me home and jugg me. Then sneaking it in when I get home hoping no one is watching.

Also easier to take a malfunctioning TV back to the store for a replacement. Rather than trying to ship a heavy ass TV back to Amazon or Newegg or etc.
