I've been a Prime member for years and can only recall one problem with shipping. It was fixed very quickly after I reported it. If you order something on a Saturday, of course you're not going to get it on Monday. You won't get it until Wednesday because the first business day is Monday.
Prime doesn't mean ####, way way way too many products are "add on items" that require a minimum 35 dollar order, and it seems like the number of "protected items" is increasing. And has anyone else noticed Amazon slowing down? It's never been fast, but now it seems like it's stuck in molasses, just scrolling up and down a page has become a real chore.
in the past month alone: - delivered to wrong address - fake item delivered - delivered after estimated delivery period - item damaged in shipment due to poor packaging and then they don't even have a frickin phone # to call. my assistant has to banter back and forth w/ them on email
I haven't noticed anything like that. Seems fast as ever to me. ? Their phone support has been better than any phone support I've ever encountered, by a mile. All you have to do is go to the contact us section, pick your problem, then IIRC it asks if you want to e-mail, chat, or talk on the phone. I always pick phone and click "call me immediately." 5 seconds later they call me, and I have to wait maybe another 10 seconds before I'm talking with a customer service rep. And those reps invariably solve any issues I have to my satisfaction... or better. Recently I traded in a DVD set but they didn't give me credit for "like new" condition, even though the damage they cited was there when I got it. I was just calling to get the $3 difference... and the rep gave me $20. Honestly that kind of thing has been pretty typical for me. Can't fathom how we're having such polar opposite experiences. Amazon's been so good to me, I almost never buy from anywhere else anymore.
hmmm, they have a phone #?…..unlike biggietexxx's, my secretary perhaps doesn't deserve any gift this week...
Yep. Fairly simple to get to. From the homepage, scroll all the way down. On the right side there's a "Let Us Help You" section. Under that click Help. On the right side of that page, there's a shiny gold "Contact Us" button. Click that. This brings you to a page where you pick any order you want, and any kind of problem you want. When you're done designating your type of problem, you click Call Us. Boom, done. I can't emphasize enough how great their phone support has been to me. It's like Amazon's phone support is Hakeem, and all other phone support is Greg Ostertag.
I only have issues when Amazon uses UPS which almost always means late delivery and damaged items (and never showing to pick up the item when I go through the return process) about one in every ten deliveries. 90%+ of the time they use FedEx who is batting a thousand with me.
Go to the online chat and tell them that you will email "jeff@amazon.com" if they don't fix the problem. Apparently, Jeff Bezos hates receiving customer service emails and will admonish employees who should have fixed the problem in the first place.
You're way in the minority...have probably ordered 1000+ items from them and I do not recall one mistake with my orders.
I've been priming since I made this thread and love it. Huge fan of Amazon. Use the streaking service enough to be happy to have it. Could not care less about the increase in prices. Just a great service from a great company.
I've rarely gotten packages late when using Prime and have only had to send back items maybe 2 or 3 times for being damaged or missing parts, and I buy tons of crap from them.
Bezos just announced that Amazon Prime will start streaming reruns of HBO shows and films on May 21, that could make it a staple or comprehensive viewing option for lots of people.

Why are you buying from 3rd party sellers? They generally have higher prices and don't have as good customer service. If it was a 3rd party that is Fulfilled by Amazon, that's fine. But I hardly ever buy from a 3rd party that isn't Prime Fulfilled.
i don't know i just point to the stuff i want and tell her to get it…..but my guess is a lot of it just isn't sold directly by amazon perhaps
