Good point, you remembered better than me. The Aiel other than Aviendha look pretty similar though, even if some look somewhat mixed they all seem to have a redhead freckled look.

It will be interesting to see if they similarly diversify the Atha'an Miere.

Season 3 has been spectacular so far. Episode 4 was incredible.

This show keeps getting better and better.
My mom actually read all the books because of this show!

Another good episode tonight, this one felt like it was advancing multiple storylines and setting up future payoffs, well acted and kept my attention the entire time. Not as much of a banger as last week's but still good.

This show is really hitting its stride. I've very much enjoyed the last two. My biggest complaint at this point is Alanna and her warder. It wouldn't bother me in the least if we just never saw those two again. The actors are pretty mid and the constant loud proclaiming of grief and love for each other feels like some silly soap opera crap. Just quit already. I don't care about your relationship with your warder.

Everyone is having a relationship on the show, it's too much, bound to be dumb overly dramatic stuff. They need to narrow it down. My only complaint of S3.

I must admit that the ratio of . . .let's say . .non traditional relationship to traditional relationships
is becoming a bit of a distraction
Mainly because its like . . BOOM another one
And we have to spend 10 minutes of our 45 on it

    *chuckle*
Tired of all the relationships really
but i know thats the story

    It's still a good show
I think those who hate WOKE will definitely be bothered

It's more how they are destroying book canon not because of the constraints of adapting for TV, but to impose their own woke worldview. Peter Jackson wouldn't dare do that.

    Highly exploitative.

The books were already super horny. The show didn't need to ramp up the horniness.

These videos are all the same, like they think they are cool and edgy but they just come across as bitter grown adults, nothing like watching 50 year olds trying to act like a dark and angry SpongeBob.

Sure, WOT season 1 was mediocre, but season 2 was good and season 3 is an absolute banger. Will it get canceled? Maybe due to how much it costs and new leadership but the show is actually great now.

Well, the books have a 10-20 yr long fandom, so having your expectations bubble burst will always have an effect on people.

Kinda glad I didnt read the books yet. Back then, the long wait for new ones made me hold off despite the recommendations.

The books are definitely worth reading but I understand your sentiment.

Episode 7, all about the battle of 2 rivers, was another great episode except for a couple of things...

    .
..why no wolves? Me sad no wolfies :oops:Also, the surrender to the Whitecloaks was jarring, that doesn't happen in the books. Hope they don't screw that up. And is Loial truly dead?!

I read the books and loved it. It has been my second favorite book series (after Malazan).

I love the show. Sure they changed some things from the books but that is unavoidable. You do not have the same time as in books. I feel with adaptations you should just see it separate from the books. That makes you able to enjoy them much more.

Yeah, those two things mentioned in your spoiler really threw me. I'll spoiler my response:

I loved how they had Perrin slowly take on his leadership mantle. I liked that they sort of had a slight nod to the inner turmoil he experienced in the books, choosing between the half-moon axe and the blacksmith hammer. It would have been tough to fit that in the show since it was all in his head in the books.

I suppose it is possible they try to get tricky and not have Loial dead...but I have no idea how. There's no coming back from that, but I suppose they could just change the rules of the waygates, if they want. They already did that with the whole "you can only seal them fully from the other side" line. Apparently just taking the avendshora (sp?) leaves isn't enough in the show.

And yeah, they have definitely changed a lot around the things tangential to that Two Rivers battle. Perrin surrenders and goes with the Whitecloaks. Apparenly Padan Fain is not some chaotic 3rd party only working for himself, but is just a straight up servant of the Dark Lord.

But the battle overall was awesome. I love me some trollocs.
