The Chromecast SDK was released though. I just haven't seen any good apps either. but for the price, why the hell not? Works well when I want to show everyone a youtube video.
Yeah. My main machine is on all the time so that's not an issue for me but I know not everyone has that setup.
If you have PlexPass, you can use Cloud Sync which is awesome. Still in beta though, and there are issues with some of the providers (I'm using Google Drive). But once some of these issues are fixed, it'll be awesome.
