Because all he cares about is offense.

He was a beast because of Shaq.

Amare is incredible. I have to give him credit for continuing to improve after signing the max contract. The NBA needs more players like him.

amare was a beast but that guy gets away with so many offensive fouls and feet shuffling its not even funny and he a lot of times the times when he drives in out of control he'll get the whistle though it should be a foul on him much like shaq did in his prime.

it absolutely sickens me to see him b**** about a call when he thinks he was fouled or touched and there was no foul called. if he got officiated like yao does he'd be fouling out in no time.

but all that said i would want him on the rockets easily, the dude has improved his mid range game considerably to a point where anything free throw line and in is almost automatic for him. add in knowing how to play the pick and roll with nash and the extra space he gets with shaq has made him an absolute beast offensively. its a shame he doesnt try to play defense he has all the tools to be an above average defender.

that knee surgery forcing him to sit the year out was good actually in hindsight it forced him to work on his jumper all year long and now its paying dividends hopefully the knee doesnt come back to haunt him when he is a bit older.

Amare is an excellent finisher. He has a killer jumper. A 80+% FT shooter.

    But...
Amare is not a back-to-basket player. Amare is a face-up 4. He has very few post plays, so he doesnt open up things for his teammates. There is no need to double team Amare. When he gets ball, he finishes anyway. So, the best defense against him is to harass Nash and the others.

    Dont forget...
    Amare's average defense and rebounding.

    Top scorer? Yes.
    Prime big man? No.

I just hate the fact that the media kept regarding Amare as "the new Center" and all of a sudden in comes good ol' Shaq and hes suddenly "a natural PF" that has been playing out of position this whole time. Surprise, surprise.

Other than that, hes a monster on offense. But thats all he is at least for now seeing as he doesn't play any defense and doesn't make his teammates better (see: Rockets vs Suns 4-12-08 :D )

I think he outscored both of them put together, but he wasn't playing any D.

Amare is probably the worst PF defender in the league. People have big games against him, so it offsets.

well they all better win it this year. because shaq and nash will both be one year older. and this isnt by far a good thing.

next year this team is doomed mark my words. there the exact opposite of the trailblazers.
