You watch every Knicks game and you don't know Shumpert is an exceptional special player, then you don't know talents. He handle the ball like PG, not saying he's a PG, there is a difference. Stats don't mean much if you take into consideration of the little things he did. What is his stats during the Linsanity stretch?? Chandler Parson is no match compare to Shumpert as far as ball handling skills and attacking the basket. His athleticism is way over the board. This is what make him special along w/ his defensive toughness. And he can shoot the ball.
I wouldn't trade Greg Smith for Amare even if that max, uninsured contract didn't exist. Amare is way overrated. Mediocre rebounder and a horrible defender. He isn't Tim Duncan offensively either. Not a great low post player. Yes the injuries are a major reason for his decline.
