Now the rumor is that Boston maybe cut out completely with Atlanta receiving Stoudamire in exchange for #3 and #11. Kinda complicated now but the new deal would be... TWolves Trade: KG TWolves Receive: #3, #11, and "cap friendly contracts"= Barbosa? Phoenix Trades: Amare Stoudamire, Barbosa? Phoenix Receives: KG Atlanta Trades: #3, #11 Atlanta Receives: Amare Stoudamire Not sure why Minni would want so many high picks if it also seems like they're trying to clear cap space. Having the #3, #7, and #11 picks in 1 draft would cost them a lot of money for unproven players. But the combo they could draft would be very interesting... Horford, Conley, Yi? Hoford, Yi, Law?
Got a link? Sounds interesting. I don't see Minny taking Law or Conley, they seem confident in their PG situation. I don't think the Hawks should do that. They are in position to draft 2 contributors AND use their cap space for an impact star. Stoudemire is a sure thing though.
I hope that trade happens. I think Amare Stoudemire and Joe Johnson would make a good combo...in the east. I also think that trading both Stoudemire and Barbosa for Garnett, alone, is a lot less scary than trading Marion for Garnett.
On the Realgm frontpage, I forgot to mention that no complete trade details were mentioned and that was my prediction from what I read. The TWolves do have a lot of PGs on their roster but many of them seem like combo guards and really aren't true PGs (Hudson, Foye, Jaric). #3 and #11 does seem like a lot to give up for Stoudamire, but Amare in the East along with JJ could mean big wins for ATL. But they still wouldn't have a PG.
Amare and Barbosa are far too much for KG. Amare alone is no worse than the #3 pick, most drafts a #1 or #2. Barbosa is probably worth a mid lotto. Amare and filler contracts is about right. Or Marion or Diaw + Barbosa + future Atl pick.
