OOps sorry i was so excited about the trade I forgot something. As good as this trade is I see Clippers saying no. Yeah they would get Amare but they have Zach Randolph. Then when Chris Kaman comes back from injury I don't know if there are enough mins to go around. Coach Dunlevy gets rid of Baron Davis but then he has to deal with Amare. Its a toss up. Good idea though once again

Yeah I thought of that also, but I figure there's 96min. that they can share at the PF and C positon could be enough. Amare at 35mpg and you have 61mpg left to split between Kaman and Randolph.

Thats true. Well the best thing about this is at least you picked a team where Amare can become the man like he wanted to.

Hopefully Morey reads these threads ( some of them ) and sees this proposal for him to pick up the phone and try to get this done.

    my thoughts exactly.

considering that everyone has been complaining of the bad defense being played by the current team . . . 26 pages about amare seems somewhat hypocritical.

I don't believe Amare is worth the risk either (we will basically have to mortgage our future in order to get him). But your post is just hating. Amare is a top 5 PF in the NBA, to say the very least.

Amare is off this year. He ain't cracking top 5.

    TD
    KG
    Dirk
    Bosh
    Gasol
    Jefferson

Not saying he's completely worthless. He is somewhere there among Randolph, Boozer, and co. Too much baggage for the talent and price.

Sounds like he'd fit in perfectly with the Rockets.

If you could get stoudemire for the package being discussed, you pull the trigger instantly. It maintains financial flexibility, and gives you 3 players that command double teams offensively. Not to mention the age factor. Plus, Tracy McGrady has the court vision and passing skill of any elite PG in the NBA anyway. He can fill a large part of the nash role with amare.

Lastly, people writing off this team as title contenders are being very foolish. Artest can fit here, he just needs a consistent 30 minutes a game(and 12-15 shots) whether starting or coming off the bench. The only team that scared me(matchup wise) in a 7 game series was the Lakers and losing Bynum changes that matchup significantly.
