    What?

Brooks bugs CP3, you know why? Because he is quicker than him, and gets up into him and CP3 can not get around him and is not big enough to shoot over him.

And Brooks is only getting better......

At least some people see it. It's funny how Amare is a smoke screen to some, yet they bring up Brooks playing a couple of good games against Paul and Harris. Hypocrisy at it's finest. I hate this though because it seems like I'm dogging on AB. I really like the kid

What amazing performance? He had one spectacular play which is that block on Duncan above the rim. That's it. Other than that, I saw Duncan kept eating the Suns defense alive.

    Of course it is opinion.

Please don't get me wrong, I would trade for Amare, but not if it left us with Rafer and Earl Watson or Rod Strickland or Rick Brunson or.....

    Well you get my point.

In the playoffs....teams leave Rafer WIDE OPEN......they would NOT do that to Brooks.

Brooks is more valuable to this team than Artest is......at this point.....Artest is a much better player but we have all his skills covered by other wing players...he is redundant.

Brooks is a game changer, and will probably only get better.

There is a reason all the teams that talk to the Rockets start with Aaron Brooks....they know.....I am shocked that you don't.

What? Brooks is way up and way down. There is no evidence to suggest otherwise yet.

Lol, at you thinking Chris Paul can't get around Brooks or shoot over him.

LOL at you for thinking that a 2nd year player getting his first taste of playing time has peaked.

Brooks is up and down....and he will get better with a consistent role and playing time.

Read the Article from Morey talking about Brooks will be finishing games more often now as the data suggests he makes good plays at CRUCIAL game deciding moments.

Yeah, trade that guy...now that we are finally developing another guy that can make a play late...let's trade him for a malcontented, bad knees, needs tons of touches PF, who doesn't play any defense.

    Great idea !!

    NOT !

Teams leave Brooks open now. Not quite sure where you're going with that. Personally, I'd rather have earl Watson (this year) in the Playoffs then Brooks. He's an unknown commodity.

Again, calling Brooks a game changer is pure speculation. He's either been really good or really bad. He also isn't a true pg. He leaves his feet to often with nowhere to go with the ball, isn't a good passer, and is way undersized.

I'm going to have to laugh at this last one. How do you know what teams start with when they talk to us? You are assuming again. It depends on the team. I'm sure many would prefer Scola or Landry over him, while others would value Artest. That's just a statement that has no validity to it at all.

This thread is ridiculous. Everyone thinks they know something everyone else doesn't. Amare is the real deal. He took the suns to game 7 with the spurs before his injury. Don't forget that. Just because management made horrible decisions by trading for shaq, does not mean that Amare is the reason the Suns haven't amounted to much since. Amare is unstoppable on the offensive side. He is everything that people want Yao to become. Yao is lame on the defensive side as well. I don't ever see him actually "grab" a rebound. Most of his 9, not 10, rebounds usually fall in his lap or a teammate pulls his hands away and lets yao have it.

Amare compliments Yao like sugar with tea.

No but dude, im talking about consistent production and championships out of those 3 guys for years, just b/c they were out for a few weeks, they aren't gonna panic and make major trades b/c what they have has worked.

Houston is different story. 1st round noobs we are.

But they didn't panic even before they had playoff success, they stayed the course and believed in the system, and let the other teams panic around them.

The Rockets need to do the same, if you need to trade Artest for a more complimentary piece, go ahead, but don't make wholesale sweeping changes.

That sets the team back even further.

Never said he peaked. I just think he is a streak shooter and not a true pg. Show me some evidence that suggests otherwise.

Morey has talked glowingly about Joey Dorsey, Ron Artest and TMac. That's his job.

Amare has not had any knee problems in 2 years. There's nothing to suggest he will in the future. You seem to like to turn assumptions and your opinion into facts. That doesn't hold any weight here.

It's funny you are taking these shots at Amare after you suggested we take on Corey Maggette. One of the worst contracts in the NBA and everything you just called Amare (except replace the knee issue with a back issue). GREAT IDEA. Let's bring in another prima-donna ball hog who's had back problems.

    See how easy it is?

Sorry, just channeling JVG and all the things he has said about Brooks and how lucky the Rockets were to get a game changer so low in the first round.

DD, you can't say the Rockets only get marginally better at PF by looking at numbers....because your numbers clearly don't show all the things Amare can do that our PF combo can't. It's cimilar to how plenty of players may shoot better or have better numbers than Stacey...but when healthy and motivated not many can bring the total offensive package that he can with his scoring and passing.

Amare can create his own shot, has an automatic jumper, and is great at getting to the line. You can't leave him. Conversely, our PF combo doesn't contain a dude that can create his own shot or get to the rim on his own (they are both great at finished when found near the rim)....and their jumpers aren't as good. Your numbers don't tell you that.

Why should I trust what you think? He has been up and down, but so many good players were that way....and there is tons of evidence of players that get BETTER over time in the NBA...right?

The fact is that he has had MAJOR knee problems, to say that is not a concern is silly, and you know better.....would you call Yao injury prone? Because he had a couple years without injury too....

We are not going to agree, you look at a player, and I look at how he would fit on the Rockets.....we just use different criteria to judge and make our evaluations.

No big deal, we are all entitled to our opinions......and again, I would take Amare, but not if it gutted the team and your trade suggestion of Landry, Brooks, Artest would be too much....IMO.

Amare is an upgrade, but we get plenty of production out of Scola + Landry.

I am saying we can use Ron's contract to upgrade a position of need, and that Scola + Landry is good enough to win it all....but Rafer is not.

They very nearly did, remember when they almost dealt Parker for Kidd?

I think what im trying to say is that it is easier to stay the course when you have one of the greatest PF's ever on your squad. We have two "stars" that are on decline and haven't proven anything.

I don't think Yao is on the decline, and Tmac while not the same player actually is a great passer, and has a very high BBall IQ....so I think he can morph into an effective player.

Whereas someone like Francis loses his athleticism and his game goes to crap because he does not think the game in a manner to change the way he plays.

Anyway....I just hope it doesn't happen....I like our PFs, and our team......with the exception of Rafer as a starting PG....get him out for Brooks or Hinrich etc...and the team will fly.

Tweaking always beats overhauling in my book.

Are you serious with this? I'm honestly just debating with you here (definitely not trying to do anything else), but I can pull up tons of quotes on how great Amare is. His stats and Playoff performance also validate my point. I don't because it's pointless here.

Amare Stoudemire thinks he's a goner.

After meeting Friday with GM Steve Kerr about trade rumors, Stoudemire spoke as though he expected to be traded before backtracking to say he wishes to be "a Phoenix Sun forever" and sign a contract extension this summer.

"It's kind of good that a lot of teams want me right now," Stoudemire, who is under contract for two more years worth $34.1 million, told The Arizona Republic. "That's positive. ... A lot of times, when something like this happens it's more of a business move than anything else. I know for sure, wherever I go, we're going to definitely be playoff contenders. I bring a lot to the table."

Stoudemire went on to say he wanted to stay with the Suns and emphasized how well he gets along with teammates, but he feels he gets an unfair share of blame for the Suns' 27-21 start this season.

"Half the time, it's pretty much on me," Stoudemire said. "But I'm not a captain. So you can't put too much of the blame on me. It's not my job to rally the troops and get everybody on board. It's the captains' job to do that."

Kerr said the Suns have been taking "a lot of calls" on Stoudemire.

"We're not playing to our capabilities, so that's the way it goes when that happens," Kerr said. "I think we can still be good this year, but we also have to make sure we can sustain our success."

T-Mac has amazing IQ and passing skills but i seriously doubt he realizes he is on the decline scoring wise. The guy will never stop throwin up jumpers. He is so predictable. Im always afraid at the end of games b/c everyone knows all he is gonan do is dribble out the clock and pull up for a 3 at the top of the key. In his mind, it's still him and Kobe at the top of the world.
