Amare doesn't want to be second option. He's a selfish player. He can only play well in a fast pace offense and the Rockets are a half court team. He can't play with Shaq what makes you think he wants to play with Yao?

The pick and rolls would be lovely if we had him, and he likes to shoot 3's every blue moon. (considering that they take Landry over Scola) Yao,Tmac, Amar'e,Scola. That has to be around 70+ points from them. It would be friggin amazing.

Why do people say he's not working with Shaq? he is averaging 21 a game on 51 percent shooting.

He'd be a legit third scoring option while giving us some much needed size and athleticism on our front line. For a "bad rebounder", he sure does pick alot of offensive rebounds.

I agree also with the PG part, we need a PG more than Stoudamire.

I would love for this to happen...I love scola and really really really don't want to trade him, but I would do it for amare...I think amare is a way better fit then artest...and the thought of what adelman could do w/ a mobile center (when yao is not on the court) got me drooling.

I would worry about rebounding more than anything.

i am surprised quite a few don't like the idea.

granted chance for it to happen is minimal, but it's worth a try imo. i don't care losing artest, landry (or scola) for the deal. a yao-amare combo is deadly any way you look.

yes, his d is questionable. but it ain't like scola or landry's d is anywhere near excellent. his personality? i don't know. but he does work on his game all these years.

his contract is similar to yao's. before we extend him, it's not a long time commitment.

also, having a good pg is every team's need. but if we can acquire amare, that need will be lessened significantly.

realizing the chances are near minimal, morey does do wonders at times, eh?

(and where is the guy who called my idea earlier a joke? morey has obviously tried this, you silly. )

If we gave up landry, rebounding wouldnt be a problem adding amare. Hes a better offensive rebounder than landry, and chuck hayes would get more PT. We'd still have scola, yao, and deke.

Are you kidding me? If we have the chance, I would definitely pull the trigger. But the Suns aren't moving him without getting a high pick + good young guys back... Not a chance.

i dont get the idea that the suns wouldn't trade him here just because Houston is also a western team...the spurs did it, memphis practically gift wrapped Pau for the lakers, sacrament also gave Houston a gift. Sure most of these teams aren't contending for a playoff spot, but if Phoenix is worried about the team financially and prefers younger players and picks, then it doesn't look like they're too concerend with playoff spots themselves..

That being, we need a point guard.

Uh, so without Artest who the hell is going to play perimeter defense? Amare?

If we can pick up Amare for Landry or Scola + Ron Ron I would be all for it. We lose a good PF but get a much better one and Ron hasn't really panned out too well for us this season... might as well get rid of him while we still have him.

throw ab in there. nash is aging and the brazilian ain't a real pg. i know ab is not exactly a model pg, but he's the best we can offer. tell phoenix, why demand a first rd pick when this year's class isn't even that good? we have a proven first rd pg here. hehe.

or maybe morey pulls a 3- or multi-team deal to satisfy phoenix's need?

    just dreaming...

he doesnt like shaq. or rather, he doesnt like being second fiddle to anyone else.

personally, i like amare. especially when he was averaging 50pts a game dunking on everyone every single time. but you'd need a 3pt shooting center around amare to give him space down low and maximize his threat. but that would mean either reducing yao's role or trading him. latter option wont tickle les especially with yao's market. former option would hurt yao as a player in the long run. if you could convert yao to an efficient mid range shooting center, then im all for it.

a tmac + battier + landry for amare + jrich + barnes could work.

a veteran sg in jrich to play in front of wafer. a tough sf in barnes to replace batman. and amare.

phx gets somewhat a decent PF replacement in landry without a bloated contract. a team player in batman, who's probably a better outside shooter than barnes and a somewhat better offensive option in tmac for jrich. not to mention, tmac is a good buddy of shaq. as a tmac fan, id be happy for this trade.

well, I would love to have amare on the team, but they dont really need him. The only really glaring weakness on this team is at point guard. As much as I like Amare, I would rather have a decent pg

If Rockets can acquire Amare without giving up Yao or Mcgrady, no matter what else they give up, it's a highway robbery and I don't think its even possible. Get Amare and bribe a PG over the summer and its a dynasty.

looks like they want immediate expirings, not the 2010 expirings. so i doubt they'd interested in mcgrady.

Amare is the most overrated bigman in NBA. Morey is smart enough to go away from him. Landry is a poor man's Amare with much much less salary.
