Second game no Nash, second "L". Now you see how silly this thread is? Amare is good, but without Nash, he's far from great.

Amare is a better center then Shaq? Ok. Nice effort by the best center in the league though the last 3 games!

Amare is not a miniature Shaq, their game is no where near similar to each other. Amare is not a power player. We'll see what happens with Amare when people start doubling up on him later in the year and in the playoffs. We'll see if he really is Shaq. Because you could double and triple team Shaq and he would still dominate. Shaq's teams also won even when Kobe wasn't playing.

Phoenix is going to be in for a reality check as people adjust to them later in the year. You see how improved the Rockets are now. This is a completely different Rockets team then the one that played Phoenix. Running and gunning is not going to win a championship and neither is playing without a bench. As the season goes on and teams get better and adjust they're going to to exploit the Suns weaknesses. And the Suns lack of depth, lack of defense and lack of size is going to be their undoing. Nice regular season so far, but ask the Utahs and Seattles and San Antonios and Miamis of the 90s what a great regular season gets you.

One of the more impressive statistical feats of the year-

    Phoenix bench: 0-2 FG, 4 PF, 4 TO, 0 pt, 0 ast.

Though they did have 9 rebounds.

Without Nash, even with the best center in the lineup, the Suns are 0-3. Argue whatever you want, w/o Nash, Amare would be leading, or coleading the Suns into lottery territory again this year, or any other year.

Amare is not the best center. Shaq is.
Amare is a very good player, who is perfect for a playeer like nash. i think Nash is the reason the suns are playing so good. Amare wil be great, and maybe wil become the best at his position, but i think his position is PF.

You nail it. To some posters, dunking the ball is a show of power and therefore they say Amare is a power player. It's laughable but you can actually see some people think in that way. :)

LOL. 19 points at 38% shooting without Nash will make him better than Shaq - when Shaq is 45 years old.

LOL...ESPN just talked about how Amare has been exposed with Nash out...

He has had to make plays on his own instead of just finishing.

    The result...... -10pts/game FG% drops 25 points
