A small portion can be attributed to the culture now where a kim kardashian type can be idolized after she was made famous by a sextape, another small portion can be attributed to parents and technology but for the most part she did make her bed, she should never have dealt with it this way. It is a tragedy bc she was barely a teen.

    Agree with the bolded part.

Why didn't she just delete her Facebook?

It seems that as the generations progress these kids develop a "sun" state of mind. Thinking that one bad thing affects their entire life and the entire world around them. They feel entitled, and when something goes wrong they don't know how to react. Shame.

Still, why didnt she delete her Facebook?

That's what I kept saying. It was a major source of grief for her.

Not what I meant at all.

Often, teens do stupid stuff without thinking of the consequences of their actions. (Never said they didn't.)

The truth hurts when it presents someone in a negative light; again, I never said (or implied) that she deserved to die for what she did.

The pervert did take advantage of her, but it was partially her fault. NOBODY forced her to flash her breasts to the creep.

Too many kids and teenagers these days are addicted to it. Facebook runs their lives. Everyone has to know what everyone is doing, where they are, who they are with. I hate facebook for that very reason (and others.) I don't give a crap to know where a kid I went to college with is doing at 8 pm on a Thursday night. It's ridiculous!

God you are a ****ing r****d. She made one mistake in 7th grade, and the guy harassed her even after she moved a couple of times. Don't realize how you can think like that.

This guy probably works at Kroger, you can just sense his ignorance through the computer screen.

So sad...this new generation, their lives almost revolve around the "Internet" which is only so real....Poor girl, and all those saying bad malicious jokes, y'all deserve to be banned.
It's sad bullying will always exist, she was too young, too naive, and too curious. Poor girl

I've skimmed through this thread and it makes me sad all around. Yes she made stupid mistakes, didn't think of the consequences and so on but honestly how many of you out there haven't done stupid stuff as a teen without thinking of the consequences?

There is a reason why we consider these people minors and why in many things can't really give consent. What needs to be considered is how she was manipulated by a pervert in this regard she is as much a victim as those teenagers that were molested by Jerry Sandusky. I mean they should've known better than to shower with a full grown man.

I agree that teens should learn to take more responsibility for themselves but that is part of growing up. It's sad that she won't get that chance..

What happened to her is a very sad, but at some point you have to stick up for yourself. I just cannot understand how she could put up with all that crap from other students.

I'm a pretty mild mannered guy, but if I was getting humiliated and emberrased on a regular basis, I would snap and look to a start a fight with the next guy that started ****.

This is basically what i was digging at earlier, i've come to the conclusion that there is no outlet for cyberbullying really, a physical bully you can deal with physically but some stranger on the internet, especially when your a young teen, how do you deal with that? how do you fight that? its sad.

Can she force all the kids in her school to also get off the internet? She makes some mistakes, and she has no way to escape from it. Very sad.
