If OJ was innocent, I think he should have been able to make a lot of money. However, there seems to be lot more evidence that OJ was guilty than Knox.
hence the word "if". i didn't follow this case, so i'm not going to get into if she is really innocent, obviously you don't think so, but i think your opinion is besides franchiseblade's point
Well, I guess you have to find them not guilty. You don't want to send someone to prison for life if you can't prove they are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, do you?
I followed it, I think there is a good chance that she was involved in some way. (I just saw that I laid it out in a post two years ago.) I can see how she had to be let go, but just based on the chance that she might be guilty in some way, I don't feel happy about her making money from this.
She spent 3 years in prison and the court appointed investigator said the evidence gathered by police was crap (paraphrasing). Now I'm not jingoistic yay America person who thinks there's no way in hell an attractive American chick is guilty and the small-town Italian police are just backwoods idiots. I'm all for sending her to prison for life if she did it. However, in this case, this actually was a situation where the small-town Italian police were backwoods idiots and they locked her up for 3 years under a wrongful conviction.
Except she she lied like crazy. She said some other dude did which she completely made up. Troy Davis was executed with more shaky evidence than this girl. Just for the fact she falsely tried to incriminate someone warrants 10 years in prison luckily she only got 3.
Exactly, that's the thing, why would she frame someone who was actually completely innocent if she was completely innocent?
It's very honorable that she wants to help others who are wrongly accused of a serious crime in a foreign country. Her first bit of advice should be... when your roommate and friend is brutally murdered in your home don't do cartwheels and laugh at the police station when brought in for questioning.
I don't think she plunged the knife into her roommates back. But she was involved on some level - at best just being there and being criminally indifferent. There's little or no sign of motive on their part, no sign of premeditation, and hardly any evidence. Sounds to me they thought it was funny until they realized their roommate was dead and then probably panicked with their stories since they wanted to hide the fact that they were there or in anyway present. It's clear she is a scumbag. She is lucky to have walked after 3 years and hopefully uses this to be a better person - but that's doubtful.
I think the most obvious answer to what happened is the correct one in this scenario. Amanda was at her boyfriend's pad. This other guy who is in prison and all the DNA evidence pointed to is guilty. This person sexually assaulted Meredith, murdered her, and then fled. Then, he came back to face justice knowing he had no way out of it and made statements implicating the roommate and her boyfriend to help himself and reduce his sentence by cooperating to implicate them. I think everyone who claims to not know what went down needs to wake up. The perp was busted and is in jail for it. The evidence pointed to one person and one person alone as the guilty party.
