Sucks that his family (and little sister) moved to Houston, but surely he would rather develop with OKC and Durant than Houston.
Haha, a Thunder fan said Lamb will be better defensively from day one...boy are they going to have a rude awakening...
Lamb has good pure scoring skills. But no one mentioned he was a bit of a "black hole" during the SL. Only had like 4-5 assists the entire time. Facilitating is not his game. He was decent rebounder, showed occassional signs on D. But was looking to be a T-Mac in scoring and rebounding, Kevin Martin in facilitating and D, which is to say he doesnt pass and play D much. I wanted to get in the hype but saw more Demar Derozan level than future all star. BUT getting even a slightly above average 2-guard with good tools is good value for the pick, thats what I was happy about. And maybe thats all OKC needs
To blunt the loss. Here is a pre-draft report on JLamb by same "draft guru", who noted that JLin should have been a lottery pick in his year. From what I've seen in the preseason, it's spot on. http://hoopsanalyst.com/blog/?p=862#more-862
wow do you really think that Ariza frucking Ariza frucking Ariza... Arizaa The guy that shot 39% from the field and like 33% from three with us Plz don't put that guy in the same analogy as Harden again, please
I remember this feeling from fans before....when we traded Donte Greene Lmao You're right, if Ariza was a sixth man of the year and Gold Medalist.
Lin-and-Lamb sounds a lot cooler than Lin-and-Harden. So yeah, I am sad. Seriously, I really liked his potential and wanted to see him develop into a star player here. But well, Harden is clearly more proven.
History says.... Take the star, ditch the prospect in trades. Very seldom does it turn out that the better player in the trade is the prospect when there is a star involved in the deal. Yes, Im sad to see Lamb, Martin, and the picks go, but its price you have to pay to get someone like Harden. Im more than confident that Morey will still find some more intriguing prospects as time goes on to keep everyone wishing and hoping something happens for that young player. Good luck Jeremy.
I'm not convinced this kid will develop that killer instinct you need in the NBA .. He did more standing around than anyone else on the court ... Maybe he thought doing nothing was better than doing it wrong ... anyway I think he'll be a decent player and have a nice career .. Good luck to him in OKC.
