I thought it seemed long when I was at the game, but then i watched the replay on espn. I saw that it started on time, so i figured it was just a hell of a play by damon. This thread answers a lot of questions. How the hell does our homecourt clock operator try to screw his own team like that?

Yes definitely. That is one NBA rule I really like. Every end of quarter squarter shots made must be reviewed according to the new rule.

But would the clock pausing at 1.7 be a reason for overturning? Because I know when they review, normally, they're just looking to see if the player released the ball before the clock expired.

This is serious...someone needs to bring it to the Rockets Organization's attention. Technical malfunction? Conspiracy? Stupidity? The trutch should be discovered.

Yeah. Because like Willis said the shot clock operator screwed up on a recent possession. And Worrell said VanGundy was yelling at the shotclock operator 'come on we're at home!. That guy needs to get with it, and get with it quick, because we can't afford for that to happen in a playoff game.

...Except for Amare Stoudemire's block on Brad Miller that should have been reviewed for goaltending.

Im not going to pretend I know how to operate a game clock, but dont they just press a button to make it start..

As far as I can see it one of two things could of happen, clock just stopped ticking, or someone stopped it. And if my $30 wristwatch can keep ticking I don’t see why a 200+ million dollar arena can’t.
