this. i mean the guy is beast. im not going to argue. but the mentallity. i want a leader, who doesnt play around before a game, i want someone who is hungry for a ring, that you can tell is hungry. when you think kobe, you think hunger for more, when you think lebron, you think fame.

stat wise i would love him for the rockets. i just dont want his attitude to rub off on our players.

i mean he could have won a ring if he chose to be a real leader and tell his team to focus instead of doing that thing with the cocaine i mean powder before games. the crap they do is childish. if he wanted to he would have gotten serious, he could have put his game face on and would have led that team to the finals. stats arent everything, which is why people say kobe is the best player in the nba. because of everything he does, he might go 8-20, but his leadership, his heart and concentration scares the crap out of everyone.

Yup. If he had just told them to focus they would have won a championship. Why didn't he think of that?

I agree with where you're coming from, I am no where near a Lebron fan, I can tell you that he is a insanely gifted player, and an unbelievable talent. One thing I can't stand about Lebron (and mostly his fans) is that the story changes when he doesn't get what he supposedly deserves. Throughout the Regular Season EVERY SINGLE LEBRON FAN, even non Lebron Fans were saying that this was the year, that he had the best team around him he has ever had, all the right pieces, all the right role players that he needed...then what happened, he lost (all because) HE completely quit on his team in games 5 & 6. No one can argue the fact that he in no way shape or form gave it his all in those games. In game 5 he pulled a T-Mac and was caught on more than a handful of plays standing right in front of half court. Game 6 he was absent until the game was already in the bag, so he decided to score when no one from the Celtics was really guarding anybody. Would I open Lebron with open arms in Houston, no, am I a Rockets fan until I die, or if the team ever gets moved, YES. I am also one that if we don't end up with Bosh, that I would be upset. I'm not a big fan of his either, I think that if we're going after JJ, then we should pick up either Josh Smith (for efficieny and Defensive purposes), or ZaZa as a backup to Yao.

Lebron on the lakers would have damn near swept boston. The cavs with kobe is a playoff team and thats it especially with brown coaching.

The fact that this isn't a one-star thread baffles me.

Yeah, no. The Cavs team was crap. Of the 11 playoff games Shaq scored over 20 once. Over 15 only twice. He didn't even pull down 10 boards in a single one of those games. Having the best record after feasting on the Eastern Conference means very little.

I mean, if you're going to try and say that a team with Antwan Jamison, 'all star' Mo Williams, 50 year old Shaq and coached by Mike Brown was championship caliber, I'm gonna go ahead and disagree.

LeBron was the only reason they got as far as they did. Cleveland's 'answer' to creating a team around him was washed up has beens and perennial losers.

It remains to be seen what James could do with a real team and real coach around him.

Even Kobe's 'hunger' only led to him threatening to ask for a trade until they got him Gasol.

put me down for "yes, yes you are", but only because it is completely idiotic to not want one of the best players in basketball. That's all.

This thread was mean to be troll-y, right?
