Lowry could be next, but so could Aaron Brooks. If Morey offers Lowry for Bosh, but Toronto demands Brooks, you give them Brooks. It will come down to what Toronto wants. I'm fine with giving up either for Bosh.
Well, I am not...but in the end it does not matter what we think it matters what Morey, Les and Rick think. DD
I thought these "Amare over Bosh" threads weren't going to start getting posted until he Shows up in game 4. Goodluck to the Suns tho, gotta hate a Laker if your going to be a rocket.
didn't watch Bosh's game too much but got a couple chances to watch Sun's game. Based on what I learned, Amare did rely on pick&roll with Steve Nash a lot, although he developed mid-range jump shot for the past one or two years. He is still an explosive player even after knee injury, and he did rely on his explosive play style a lot. If, a big if, he can maintain his explosive ability for the next 3-4 years, he still be a top offensive PF among the league. The true problem is his defense, which has been criticized by many people. He is not a good one on one defender, and his rebound and block stats may not reflect that. And, he rely on his explosive ability on defense too. He couldn't use the lower body to defend post-up offensive players effectively. Sometimes he just watch people score without competing. In general, I don't think Amare will be a good fit for current Rockets system unless Morey do something magic.
Amare will be constantly pushing the team to play up tempo. How would that work with Yao? How would that work with a player who's coming off of major foot surgery? Bosh, yes, Amare no, but passing on both, because you don't want to pay out big bucks right before the next CBA also makes sense.
Wasn't there some murmuring about his bodily frame and his being unable to add weight? Also about his leg problems being chronic? I'd like to see something more definite on his physical condition. I confess that I simply don't get all of this euphoria about Bosh. I have the same misgivings as yourself because he reminds me of Tmac as well.
i too do not want bosh, chris broussard just said the rockets are a possibility if Cleavland opens itself up to a sign and trade for lebron, mavs keep getting mentioned in these talks which is kind of scary, we must make a push for james if their mavs are a serious possibility that ridiculous site for bosh should, say instead of: "you can have wade or lebron we want you bosh," "some of us in houston dont think we have a chance at lebron or wade, so well settle for you bosh" anyways im purty sure morey is smart enough to make a pitch at wade or lebron first their are definite game changers and can single handedly put you in title contention, with or without a healthy yao ming, but im guessing the health of yao would be key to being able to attract one of those guys
