Sure they can, but why would they want to? Particularly given the whole CBA situation. I mean, the whole 1 year deal thing sure worked out for Nate Robinson, right?
Seems like a good time for this. <div> <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0" width="210" height="25" id="mp3playerlightsmallv3" align="middle"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.podbean.com/podcast-audio-video-blog-player/mp3playerlightsmallv3.swf?audioPath=http://thegame.podbean.com/mf/play/34y7n/ScolaSong3.mp3&autoStart=no" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> <embed src="http://www.podbean.com/podcast-audio-video-blog-player/mp3playerlightsmallv3.swf?audioPath=http://thegame.podbean.com/mf/play/34y7n/ScolaSong3.mp3&autoStart=no" quality="high" width="210" height="25" name="mp3playerlightsmallv3" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></embed> </object> <br /><a style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; padding-left: 41px; color: #2DA274; text-decoration: none; border-bottom: none;" href="http://www.podbean.com">Powered by Podbean.com</a> </div>
Have you seen him do this at all to even say this? I want to know because just because he is 6'10'' doesn't mean he will be effective playing center for any portion of the game. I don't even think he played center at all in Toronto. In my opinion, that notion will scare him off if there is even a slight chance this is expected of him.
I just mean for parts of the game when the team wants to go small or give Yao a breather. It certainly is not his natural position. Bosh played center for Toronto his rookie year.
The day Clutch makes a website recruiting Bosh the OP makes this thread. lol. Lets hope Bosh don't click the link to clutch fans anytime soon.
Not everyone wants Bosh, come on now....it is ok to have different opinions and still respect the bad to the bone work that Clutch did. DD
Your right, I just read that he play C after Antonio Davis was traded his rookie year. He also played some center according to 82games.com to my surprise last season but was even a worse defender than he already is at PF doing it. I really don't think the Rockets will be using this an option as long as they have better defensive centers or at the very least they shouldn't be including it in their pitch.
Definitely not. I was just agreeing with the other poster's point that we can have Bosh AND Scola on the team.
I would rather not have that.....keep Hill he is a contrast to both Bosh and Scola......better to have contrasting styles to give you more options than similarities. And Hill is more athletic than them both....and one of the quickest 6'10" guys in the league, that is an advantage. DD
In my opinion I dont think morey wants to get rid of scola but have him as a 6th man because yao coming back from injury is only going to get about 20 mins and he'd be a great insurance to back up yao in case of injury... so either way i think scola would have play 33+ mins for sure
We have to give up something to get Bosh, and you don't want to rob one position to make another one strong. That is robbing Peter to pay Paul...keep all the starters and trade the bench players, or players at the same position. DD
An idea I posted earlier was to trade Brooks for Bosh. As you said, you can't handcheck penetrating PGs these days, so Lowry would be able to get to the rim consistently if he's the starting PG.

That is just not smart. You give up your best player at the PG position, making it weaker, to get a little better at the PF position. Brooks has to stay...now if you give up Lowry, then great. DD
Yeah, but look at everything he got in return (KMart PLUS 2 Knicks picks). The Landry trade didn't reflect disappointment in Landry, he was just offered too much to turn down.
Landry was not a starter, he was a valuable bench contributor, you always look to trade the 20mpg guys for a better 36mpg guy. Lowry could be next. DD
