Well, it just depends on your beliefs.

God, Allah, and Yawhe are all the same, but are called by a different name by 3 different religions.

All I'm asking for is a little respect.

DD, did you not ask us to not curse on the forum?? You found it disrespectful and you let your opinion be heard.

I am simply doing the same...I was offended by Tinman's statement, sarcastic or not.

What made it more irritating for me is the fact that he simply would not say

"I am sorry for making a disrespectul/insensitive comment about a religious figure."

Obviously, religion is not thought of seriously on this forum...not much I can do about that.

But I really felt disrespected over the last couple of hours.

I said, ANY religion should not be involved in sports.

I simply asked for some respect and an apology. Thats it.

I'm not a Christian extemist by any means...only been to church twice in the last 6 weeks...

But I do have my core beliefs, and I personally thought what Tinman said was disrespectful.

I didn't ask him to send the Vatican a letter of apology.

I didn't ask him to apologize to all Christians, I asked him to apologize to me.

I didn't try to convert anybody or be a Bible Thumper. I said we should leave ALL RELIGONS OUT OF BASKETBALL DISCUSSIONS.

That includes Christianity, Islam, Jewish, Bhuddist, Hindu, Atheists, Scientology, whatever religion you can think of.

Thats my personal belief so that NOBODY gets offended or disrespected.
