Isn't this thread about trading or not trading Steve? I say give him the max extension, but when Duncan becomes a free agent you definitely need to look into a sign and trade of Steve for Duncan.
maybe it is because i'm a francis fan, but i woudn't trade him for duncan. or almost any player. maybe for shaq, or Garnett, or maybe Nowitzki. but i just love to see him play, he is a great player. when he is healthy, and without his migraines, he IS the best Guard in the NBA, maybe bryant is better, but i would like to see francis play with shaq (FOR THE ROCKETS OFCOURSE ).
You wouldn't trade him for Duncan but you would trade him for Garnett or Nowitzki? Duncan is better than both of those players. Do you build teams around who you think would be fun to watch? I am more concerned about winning.
