I think only the 360 HDD works, at least with games, BC, and XBL. AFAIK, I think it is a SATA 2.5" HDD. I forget who makes them...want to say Seagate. Not that half of this info matters.
I'm not getting this whole thing at all. I will wait until the premiun system id on every shelf gathering dust/huge catalogue of games and retails for 300 than deal with this hassle. /plays XBOX pretty much nightly //fight night 3 //baby
Hundreds of hours if you like it... it has online play so battle people to your heart's content. As a long-time Tekken player I've never been able to get into DOA simple because it doesn't have a blocking system like just about every other fighting game out there, it has a counter system. With that said, the game was amazingly beautiful, but I feel that DOA fans are just that... true fans while "fighting game fans" would be better off with Fight Night: Round 3, I am LOVING Fight Night, if you have a widescreen HDTV it is like staring in your own movie it looks so beautiful!
It is a 20GB Serial ATA 2.5" hard drive as RC stated, but it is manufactured by Western Digital. You can plug various hard drives in via the USB ports of the system to stream music and videos but the system only recognizes the proprietary hard drive for gaming purposes due to the system files that come pre-installed on it. The 360 hasn't been completely cracked yet, so it will be some time before you see "hacks" to install your own external hard drives to use for game/save storage.
FYI.. I just got back from BestBuy on Hwy6 near Katy and they had a few systems on the shelves.. I must be lucky, I bought mine over a month ago just walking into a story and seeing it there and it happened again..
I have heard that Fight Night Round 3 is THE game for the XBOX 360 right now when it comes to fully using the graphics capabilities and HD of the XBOX360.
i have fight night round 3 for ps2 and i think it's one of the best games released by EA in some time. I can only imagine it being 10x more badass on xbox360.
Not that it matters, but are you sure that it is WD that makes the HD? I was bored and wanted to see why I thought it was Seagate. I got this: Seagate to Supply Hard Drives for Xbox 360 Then again, maybe MS has more than one supplier for the HD (although that seems strange to me for some reason). According to Anandtech, the HDD is manufactured by Samsung: http://images.anandtech.com/reviews/system/microsoft/xbox360/hdd_closeup.jpg http://www.anandtech.com/systems/showdoc.aspx?i=2610&p=5
Dude... I love Tekken... it needs to be moved to xbox. Who are your guys? For me Tag it was Devil and Law. Tekken 4 I liked King.
It was...until Rockstar announced "Table Tennis" today for the 360: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/693/693369p1.html http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360...s-presents-table-tennis-20060303105416028.jpg http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360...s-presents-table-tennis-20060303105421981.jpg http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360...s-presents-table-tennis-20060303105423356.jpg
I read at Anandtech that it was Western Digtal, then I reread the article and I noticed they were talking about the first XBox... the 360 does have a Samsung.
Hmm, well DOA4 definately uses all of the hardware capablities of the 360... it is a beautiful game, but the True bad boy of the 360 is going to be Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter... but there are atleast 5 titles this month that will be pushing the 360's to the limit. Yup, it multiplayer... even offline.
Fight Night Round 3 is by far the most graphically impressive game I've ever played on a console. I just got my 360 on Monday (core system) and was actually fortunate enough to find a HDD yesterday. I also got NFS:MW and Perfect Dark Zero. NFS is also extremely gorgeous, and fun as hell. Haven't played Perfect Dark all that much, but it's pretty cool as well. Looking forward to College Basketball (3/7) and MLB 2K7 (4/1?). Gamertag: jrocketb (feel free to add me)
XBox Live Silver, which allows you to chat online with friends via voice and email is free with a 360... but Gold is $49.99 per year, and worth every penny.
