I'm with Mad Max on this one, what's with this "Friendzone" thing anyway? It sounds like what men do to women more often than the other way around. To be more specific, when a women is looking for a serious, long term relationship she often finds herself physically attracted to the men she loves (ie. her good male friends). It is men who seem to quickly assess whether a woman is hot or not and then come to love the women they are attracted to. That said, if a women is just looking for a quick hook-up, obviously she'll go for what she considers to be her type and she really won't want to risk that with guys she's friends with. But that sort of hook-up rarely turns into a solid relationship since it is based on self gratification. You definately have a good chance of catching her on the rebound. So I would say, perhaps you have been friend zoned but that would mean you have a much better chance in the long run.

Don't panic and jump off the cliff unless I said ALL AND EVERY SINGLE the girls in dental school ONLY date MD; I'm sure there are plenty of chicks in dental school for ya. I was merely trying to poke fun at the fact that I know couple of dental chicks are dating MD students and my dentist is married to a MD and didn't mean to poke your sensitive spot regarding political power among the medical professionals. I don't give the **** about that ****. I have much respect for my dentist as my chiropractor.

Your post and MadMax's situation don't take into account this woman's character. Unlike Madmax's, this isn't a situation where there was mutual respect, maturity and love (or true friendship). It was this girl screwing the guy's head and him being too afraid to just put himself out there. Why would he want someone like this on the rebound anyway?
