ugh read the rest of the article at http://www.independent.co.uk/life-s...ay-be-infectious-study-suggests-10493032.html
Shame on you, hotballa. Contagious is a *very* wrong word here. Contagious diseases and Transmissable are not the same. in fact, you seem not to have finished the article, which says In no way are we suggesting that Alzheimer’s is a contagious disease. You cannot catch Alzheimer’s disease by living with or caring for someone with the disease,” he added. Back to the article: Mad Cow disease can be transmitted in a similar fashion (surgical procedures), although not likely via blood transfusions. The article alludes to the possibility of blood transfusions, but seems to be just in the study stage. Mad Cow was also studied for blood transfusions, and now most say it isn't likely.
On a related note, I'm blacklisted from donating blood because I was born in West Germany during a mad cow scare. Only lived there for two years, and have shown no signs, but still banned. Eff you, mad cow.
People also said AIDS wasn't contagious. Look what happened to Eazy E. Than you hotballa for bringing this to my attention. I shall be more careful in the future.
This explains the posting history of hotballa. we might have to repeat this more, just in case hotballa's shortterm memory is failing
