Not sure, but it won't be a lot. I think we just have Lue/Padgett/Barrett coming off the books, all on small contracts.

The summer after next should be interesting, we have Spoon/MoT/JJ coming off the books. Spoon and MoT should have a good 12M coming off the books.

could we ask the league if we can put a cut out dummy of Tim Duncan or something under the basket? i mean i am pretty sure he could get more rebounds than Howard and Mo T put together just standing in the lane.

    Since we're all dreamcasting here...

Let Carrol Dawson walk. It's time. Bring in someone with a fresh outlook towards handling basketball operations. Someone that will bring in and create a youthful and creative atmosphere in the Rockets organization....

    ....then at season's end

Let Lue, Nachbar and Bowen go.

    Ming/Mutombo
    Taylor/Howard/Weatherspoon
    Jackson/Padgett
    McGrady/Sura/Gaines
    Barrett/Ward

Sign and trade Yao Ming, Charlie Ward and Reece Gaines to Utah for Andrei Kirilenko, Jarron Collins, Raul Lopez and a 1st round selection.

    Collins/Mutombo
    Taylor/Howard/Weatherspoon
    Kirilenko/Jackson/Padgett
    McGrady/Sura
    Lopez/Barrett
    Two 1st round selections

Send Maurice Taylor to Indiana for Austin Croshere.

    Collins/Mutombo
    Croshere/Howard/Weatherspoon
    Kirilenko/Jackson/Padgett
    McGrady/Sura
    Lopez/Barrett
    Two 1st round selections

extend and offer sheet to Tyson Chandler

    Collins/Mutombo
    Chandler/Croshere/Howard/Weatherspoon
    Kirilenko/Jackson/Padgett
    McGrady/Sura
    Lopez/Barrett

Send Juwan Howard, Clarence Weatherspoon and cash to Chicago for Antonio Davis

    Collins/Mutombo
    Chandler/Croshere/Davis
    Kirilenko/Jackson/Padgett
    McGrady/Sura
    Lopez/Barrett

Take the two 1st round picks and look to move up in hopes of selecting Chris Taft (should he make himself available). Should Taft not be available, select Rudy Fernandez and Marcelo Huertas.

    With Taft...

    Chandler/Collins/Mutombo
    Taft/Croshere/Davis
    Kirilenko/Jackson/Padgett
    McGrady/Sura
    Lopez/Barrett
(free agency and or trade exception could be used to aquire another point guard)

    Without Taft...

    Collins/Mutombo
    Chandler/Croshere/Davis
    Kirilenko/Jackson/Padgett
    McGrady/Fernandez/Sura
    Huertas/Lopez/Barrett

The team with Taft would have more of a physical ability in the paint with a good balance of a half court and full court game, and the second team would be a softer team, but a quicker, deeper, fast break team.
The contracts of Collins, Mutombo, Davis, Jackson, Padgett and Barrett would come off the books after the 05-06 season.
And lastly, since the team would be an uptempo team, a coaching change will be in order.
