Over the past 2 years, Tony Kemp has played 1 more inning at 2B for the Astros than Yuli (8-7). The defensive alignment today may be telling us something about how they view Kemp at 2B. Or Tucker in LF. Or not. I'm sure they have a reason behind it, quite rude of them not to tell everyone.
Just seems more serious than was originally portrayed. Now he's staying here to take care of a personal matter. I'm sure I'm wrong just wouldn't be floored if that was the case.
That's what we all thought about Correa and now he's about to go out on a rehab assignment and then hopefully be ready in a couple of weeks.
I hope they can get someone on waivers before August 31st. I wouldn't be as worried if we had a larger lead in our division atm.
Its strange seeing a baseball team get hit this hard with injury. Hinch has been good with resting guys as well. Hopefully they are stealing the bug from the Texans this year. And hopefully they can give that bug to the Jaguars who only had one starter go down last year.
Remember when Altuve was upset bc he was sent to the DL? I member. Yeah, this sort of sucks. We had 6 all stars last year. 5 of them are currently on the disabled list (Altuve, Correa, Springer, Devo and LMJ). I mean I guess Springer isn’t currently on the DL, but sure as **** looks like he will be. That’s buzzards luck right there.
I don't like how the Astros handle injuries. They never even said what was wrong exactly with Altuve's knee. You figure when the guy that got the 150 million dollar contract is having knee trouble you send him for an MRI asap. Assuming that was done, did we ever here a diagnosis? I assumed it was minor since they brought him out on the road trip. You would have left him home if they knew he wasn't going to play the whole road trip. I remember at least McCann did an interview and said it was a torn meniscus in his knee.
I'm sure they follow what the trainers and doctors tell them. Sometimes players themselves downplay the injury. They're being cautious. Last year, the pitching staff was hit by injuries. This year, it's the hitters. Wear and tear. Our depth will be tested and we will see who are capable of stepping up. Exciting in a different kind of way.
