    Rockets Activate Taylor, Waive Ford

    Taylor
Nov. 19 - The Houston Rockets have activated forward Maurice Taylor, general manager Carroll Dawson announced today. In a related move, the Rockets waived forward Alton Ford.
Taylor is averaging 9.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 23.5 minutes this season. The 6-9, 255-pound forward made four appearances as a Rockets reserve before being sidelined by an NBA suspension. Yesterday the NBA reduced Taylor’s suspension from 10 games to six games.

    Ford
Ford averaged 0.7 points with 1.0 rebound in three games with the Rockets after signing on Nov. 9. Selected by Phoenix with the 51st overall pick of the 2001 NBA Draft, he averaged 2.7 points (on .504 shooting) with 1.8 rebounds in two seasons with the Suns.

The Rockets roster now stands at 12 active players

Well goodbye. I liked him...he was a nice garbage player from UH.

I think we will waive Ben Davis as well.

Then we will have a 15-man roster.

    Too bad for Alton Ford.

No surprise there. But once Pike and A-Griff are ready, there's going to be some tough decision making involved. If E-Griff comes back this year, no telling who's going to get the axe.

I am glad that they decided to release Alton Ford instead of Torraye Braggs. Braggs is impressing me more and more every game! I like.

If EG came back, we could trade him because he's not guaranteed for next year

Um, there is the thing about a contract. Rox need to parley his contract into some type of asset rather than just eat the money. Keep Meech and Mooch until one fits a deal for a legit player.

Yeah, you gotta love the hometown boys. I'm glad he got an opportunity to play a little bit with the Rockets. Maybe it'll happen again later in the season?

I am still holding out hope that we can package him with the trade exception for a decent player.

I'm not sure you're going to get a decent player for a guy best known by the initials DNP-CD.

Maybe we could trade Mooch and Cynthia Cooper for Frank Layden, cash and Rocky, the lion mascot from Denver. Man...I used to love seeing Sir Charles blast that lion in the 'nads!!!
