Alternatives besides that big azz turkey for thanksgiving

Since my parents are in Asia and the relatives i normally do thanksgiving with are going to a different side of the family I’m going to be with the family of one of my best friends who passed away two years ago. She loved Thanksgiving and often after doing dinner with my own family would stop by and have pie with her.

No matter whether you’re eating Turkey, ham, or even tofurkey it is really about the people.

 

Celebrating tomorrow with the extended family for turkey, etc so today cooked filets with homemade mashed potatoes and cooked frozen Luby’s Mac N Cheese from HEB (surprisingly 85% as good as the real thing) and a Bayou Goo from House of Pies, possibly the most underrated pie on the planet

EDIT: for those of you who haven’t discovered Hardcore Carnivore Black for steak seasoning, you are missing out

 

I only use Carnivore Black nowadays. I mix in a bit of pepper. The red one is good to.

Might try it for Christmas but I stuck with the tried and true creole sides to not piss off the family. Thanks for sharing...
