Get rid of electoral college where winner take all in each state will bring an end to the two party system.

It has worked well in most aspect
    but
One should not wait until it breaks into a complete and utter mess
to even start thinking about it . . . .

There is still IMO a high degree of corruption in the system
    and
the Two party system is not helping

Im a bit of a radical and someone who often votes third party, and I kinda like the two party system. Especially since third and fourth and fifth parties (and Mike Gravel) still operate and have some influence on politics. The alternative: France (or Louisiana, same thing). They have a multi-party system where the President has to get a majority. When Jacque Chirac (a known criminal) won, the top two vote-getters were Chirac and a Fascist. Chirac won on the slogan "Elect the Crook, It's Important". At least in our system with primaries, we typically get a candidate that a majority or near-majority of the country likes (at least at election time). The other models for multi-party systems thatare currently used all remove the selection of the Head of State from the people and places it with the legislature. It seems to work okay, but they don't have the theoretical checks and balances that we do.

Therein lie the problems. The current parties wield too much power and influence. Since the real goal of a politician is to get elected, he/she doesn't give a rats anus about doing anything constructive once elected. The whole cycle now is about election....greedily feed at the trough.....get reelected. Rinse. Repeat. Nothing gets done unless it benefits the party or the politician or a third party special interest. Nothing for sure ever gets done anymore to strictly benefit the american people.

Term limits is a start. We sure as heck don't need people in congress for 20 or 30 yrs. That's just pathetic....

The emperor thing is ok, but let's make it a blond with large breasts. Maybe make her wear an official presidential uniform.....I picture black leather...thigh high boots......riding crop. Let's see how putin deals with that
