Every time I hear Motorhead, I think of that awful cover of "Enter Sandman" they did...it's just not the same without James Hetfield's voice...

I know they were in the other one but they never had much of a chance, but Radiohead needs to be in this thing.
...and of course, if we include Willie Nelson, you gotta bust out with Alabama, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Charlie Daniels.

Thanks, Manny... I think I can run the Battle, but might need a little help from some volunteer on counting the votes. I'm going to try to put this together pretty fast and have us up and running by Thursday, hopefuly. Thanks for all the good suggestions. I'm sure I won't be able to make everyone happy but think there will be a nice cross selection of bands. Oh yeah, I think it's gonna be almost impossible to do a real seeding, so will probably just put all the names in a hat and let the chips fall where they may, less someone has a better idea.
there must be some kind of seeding, otherwise you end up with radiohead vs. u2 in the first round. rather than a traditional style seeding may i suggest after establishing which bands are in, create 4 categories. since you are setting it up, put your top 16 groups in category A. next 16 in B, next 16 in C and worst of the best in D. from there you can put each category in a seperate hat and match up each A with a D and each B with a C and so on till you get all 64 matched up. set up brackets w/ even distribution (4 of each category) of course. basically rather than having 16 different seeds you only have 4. simplifies the whole thing a bit.
