Alternate Jersey Unveiling Thread (UPDATE: Design of jersey, shorts)

I think there are folks here who want nothing other than the championship jerseys.

I likes. I think it'll look better with the shorts, on players.

 

My first impression is that it's going to be a hit with women and young kids. I don't think we'll see many men wearing it at the game. I wonder who was in charge of designing it? And if they got the players' input?

 

I can live with it. I'm hoping that the angle is making the font look weird.

However, I hate that "Houston" and the jersey number are different colors. That is wack

 

Not a big fan of the yellow. But those could be ok as an alternate. I like how they mix old and new. The "houston" on the front and slanted font.

And you can't complain about these and like the Championship jersey because it's the same color scheme and font/number placement.

 

Our new slogan should have been, " I'm loving it"

Get rid of the Chinese-Takeout font!

 

man, we needed something dark red!, something mean and black! something that can kick ass!

Hideous, should have lost the v-neck and shoulder shaping from our current uni's, really disappointed.

 

I think the Rockets will look good playing a running game with this. The font reminds me of razor speed people wearing wingtip shoes or something like that. Which fits right in with our new style we will play in a lot this year. We need to wear these when we play Phoenix for sure.

 

Almost looks as if the 'HOUSTON' is slanted, like with the old jerseys...I doubt it though.

I was kind of hoping a new secondary logo was going to come of this...like putting the 'R' logo in the middle of a basketball outline...would've looked good for the little v "necklace" medallion. Oh well.

 

I think I just puked in my mouth a little bit. Same font, just with "Houston" instead of "Rockets". Not digging the shade of yellow. Not digging the use of the yellow. The yellow number/white shadow in combination with the white text/yellow shadow is kind of weird too.

 

Love it! Good to see the Rockets not embracing the plain jane movement sweeping across the league.

All these negative comments about the jersey are unwarranted IMO. We're looking at a mock up... on a hanger... taken with a cell phone picture. The top doesnt make the uniform... lets see how it looks on the players, with shorts shoes, warm ups, etc. Then lets judge them. And to everyone saying we've been sponsored by McDonalds etc etc.. Do you not remember the jerseys before 1996? With that logic then we've always been sponsored by mcdonalds...

 

I don't like the font of "Houston" but why is everyone surprised and upset over the yellow. The classic jerseys had yellow in them, which is why I like em.

No, it definitely is italicized... and they managed to finally decide between upper and lower case this time!

"HOUStOn/ROCKetS" made the championship jerseys look silly.
