Alternate Jersey Unveiling Thread (UPDATE: Design of jersey, shorts)

Looking at em in the video...I guess I like em...better than what we have now. still think there's too much yellow, but now I'm just hoping we slowly ease our way to getting new home and away jerseys.

And can we please stop the McDonald's jokes...we know already...

Dude that looks awesome, and so real, they should have gone with those colors.....

 

The first pictures looked bad. however, when I see the uniforms on Battier and Scola, they really look like the old championship uniforms from far away, as the cheesy font is hard to notice from long distances.

I like it, it still looks modern, however from far distances it reminds me of the old uniforms of the mid nineties.

 

Would look REALLY sharp if the yellow was replaced with red...

 

ask and ye shall receive... just a quick photoshop. (lil too close to blazers for me) maybe the white pinstripe should be yellow?

tomorrow i will do one from the original... but invert the white and yellow.

 

DUDE, that's way better, maybe make the numbers yellow or something, possibly change the font of the letters, but I like it.

WOW jerseys are ugly.. Might as well had stayed with the alternate jerseys we had when Sura and Wesley were playing here

 

I think they look very good. The aversion to "too much yellow" seems adolescent to me. But, I suppose there's a camp pining for the days of red and gold and others that were always glad to be rid of the yellow.

So, I think the unis look good. However, I do think they missed an opportunity. These uniforms look like throwbacks, not alternates. They should have done something genuinely different (and good at the same time).

 

Everyone on CFs compulsively wants black in a jersey but that's just not how it works, people. Jerseys will continue to be made without the main color being black - I'm sorry, but that's just how it goes. A jersey does not require black to be cool.

 

I think these new alts are a wasted opportunity. I'm fan of mustard and even I think there's too much of it. For those who don't like the mustard at all, putting giant yellow stripes on the side was a great compromise. Maybe these jerseys will rub off on me eventually.
Here's something I whipped up.

 

The jerseys suck.....but I wouldn't mind seeing them in a real game because that would mean that the season has started.

 

I have to say every time I see the pics of the jersey on Battier and Scola, I'm liking them more and more. I think come game time, they're gonna look pretty damn decent in action, and even better when the team is winning and the arena is awash in a sea of red.


Glad they're not the main jersey, but they're perfect as an alternate.
