Yes, I know. And that's what I'm saying. Can they make the black and red design "just for sale."

 

I think they look cheap, but the one BIG plus? They finally say HOUSTON on the front and not just Rockets.

 

I'm really surprised at the hate these are getting. I love em. I wish this were our actual road jersey.

The only thing I would change is a lowercase t!

 

the slant ruins it. otherwise, meh. i hate the cut of the current jerseys, and they didnt fix that, so its a wasted opportunity.

i wont be buying one until it looks like a basketball jersey again, for whatever that's worth.

That 'font?' terrible.

logo barely on the jersey at all? strange.

Overall look? Alright, but too much yellow is my first inclination.

Bottom line? Not as bad as the PJ's, and changing them when you're 'down' is a lot smarter than changing them when you just won back to back titles. That was one of the stupidest moves ever, and the fact that they changed them to PJs, well... just horrible.

They could have done worse, but they could have done better. missed opportunity.

The yellow on those jersey's rings BIG MAC in my head.

 

The logical decision would have been to keep these... These jersey's look VERY NICE!

But the more i start to look at the new jerseys, the more i like them. EXCEPT...like the majority, i think the colors should have matched in the front... WHITE Houston and WHITE Numbers with Yellow borders.

 

For me! It brings back the good old days without my favourite old school players like Hakeem and Clyde. Looks good to me baby!!

Jersey is growing on me. I hated it when I first looked at it. Opened the thread, looked for 2 seconds, closed the whole damn window. Different font and white numbers to match the letters would have been really nice.

Wow...... not really sure what to feel about these new alternates.. I like how "Houston" is back on the front but there's something about them that reminds me of Euro jerseys. Maybe the yellow is too bright or there's too much of it. I don't think the numbers should be a different colour than the Houston lettering though, that just doesn't make sense. "Houston" should be yellow or both should be white.

 

Agreed, too much yellow on the side and font colors should match.

 

The new jersey is fine overall but the font is brutal and the "cut" is still a poor choice. I'm ok with the overall scheme I just know they could have done better.

My favorite part of this thread: On nearly every page, there's someone who posts a crack about McDonald's. Someone jumps into the thread at page 17 or 18 and makes his really funny Mickey D's comment, not realizing 15 people already beat him to it.

 

Yeah, too much yellow on the side and I don't like the yellow numbers with the red lettering - that just looks odd. They could have done better, but I am glad they say Houston on them again.

 

Yeah, I'm with u on this. They were perfect. I don't like the font and too much curves on the new ones esp. the short. Too feminine.

 

why is houston slanted in the front... The font need to be retro to fit the retro theme

 

Just noticed this on the Clutchfans main page:

"Following last year's "GET RED" theme, the Rockets new marketing slogan for this season is "We Are Red Nation"

I mean COME ON!!!! Yao is not even playing... Sure the season doesn't look all that promising but we are still the HOUSTON Rockets, not the Beijing Trust Fund Babies.
