Alternate Jersey Unveiling Thread (UPDATE: Design of jersey, shorts)

A bit of a letdown....I really wanted black, but I guess it wasn't in the cards. I can live with it.

 

So our requests for changes on the jersey were..

1. Have Houston on the front -Yes
2. get rid of wide shoulders -Yes
3. Go back to championship colors- Yes
4. Get rid of shiny material- Yes
5. Black color scheme- No


.....4 out of 5 requests met. I dont think thats bad at all. I guess people will never be happy.. And im sure they thought about doing a black scheme but 2 problems..
1.Black isnt a team color
2. Wasnt there an article that said the nba wont allow anymore black?

well... I like them. They are far from the smoke pin stripes so thats the main thing Im happy about. (Can you believe they played with those for what? 8 Years? )

 

A good mixture of old school and new school. I like it

 

glad the jerseys didn't leak and the event went positive for the season ticket holders. I had fun there.

Houston being on the front of the jerseys is great. Glad that was placed on them.


See now why I wasn't talking specifics before.

 

Everyone had to know that they wouldn't bring back the exact same classic unis without some kind of twist. I think they did a fabulous job of giving us back our classic color scheme. Are there some tweeks that I would have preferred, sure. For me, they weren't too far from hitting the nail on center.

Eh. It was alright. The only thing I didn't like was where you checked in. It was just too crowded, and I think people were upset, because they got into a line that they weren't suppose to be in.

Other than that. It was good. Pizza was alright, Soft drinks were free, and my favorite RPDs were out there.

The Fashion show was ok also. I like the choice to play Personal Jesus (...except it was Hilary Duff.)

ya it's too bad yao won't be playin this year.....we'll all have to wait till 2010 for the supersize jerseys

 

Looks like scola is scratching his ass and battier doesnt want any part , any way the jerseys look great, i think it was worth the wait, also if u think they suck then go to astros games, youll see the meaning of suck GO ROCKETS BEEEOOOTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Wow, now that I look at that, shame on whoever created the alternate for not using white letters with yellow trim... Looks so much nicer.

I know everyone loves the classic championship jerseys (I think only for the fact that we won championships in them.. bc honestly, they weren't that hot)

but one thing I never hear mentioned that always bothered me, is how HOUSTON was always slanted. That always annoyed the fock outta me and thats one thing I like about our current unis, is that the name is written in a straight line across the front. But I see in memory of the championship years they brought back the slant. I would prefer straight or an arch, but I guess everyone loves the slant.

um, they actually look decent on a an actual NBA player/physique.

The font still has to go, but not as bad as initially thought...look at it this way, at least they're not the pajama dildo thing

 

I'll take an egg mcmuffin with hash brown please...

 

Looks better on the players.

I like the colors and the design of the jersey's. Could have used a different font.
